Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Close proximity to times square. The 5 minute walk to get there was ideal as we were just slightly away from the hustle and bustle but still in a prime location. The hotel is very clean and reception staff and concierge really helpful.

BahrainThe sliding door of the comfort room is hard to operate and the temperature of the air-con is a bit high, even though I adjusted it several times. The elevator is so busy in the morning between 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
Room is clean, Strong Wi-Fi, breakfast is very good. Customer service is so accomodating. Luggage storage is free from 10:00AM to 10:00PM.

EstoniaQuite poor selection at the breakfast (coming from Europe I expected something…else?). The morning busy hour elevator situation was annoying but if you time yourself well, then it goes quite fast.
Wonderful location - especially for someone traveling alone. I was able to walk everywhere from the hotel, a few min walk away from Times Square. Great bed and amenities in the room. Excellent staff, especially the ones in bag storage that helped me get a cab to the airport. Thank you!

FinlandIt was very busy at times, but that's Manhattan.
A nice, new and clean hotel right in the centre of Manhattan. The room was small but easily manageable, not as bad as many reviews suggest. Bathroom was functional and immaculate. Also breakfast was always good with slight variations each day and there are actually two dining areas, a large one upstairs and a smaller one downstairs, also unlike many reviews suggest. Actual cutlery too, only cups were plastic/cardboard. Staff was always friendly. We had a perfectly lovely 4 night stay. Would recommend.
