Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesA sound machine in the rooms would have been ideal as construction noises on occasion started outside very early but we used our i phones to play white noise after the first morning's experience. We would have liked coffee available on the floor we stayed on but once we went downstairs to the coffee shop, the coffee was excellent.
The staff were exceptional and treated us ever so hospitably. The room, a double double queen, was very comfortable and clean (although a bit smaller than we'd realized) and the bathroom similarly was beautifully appointed with heated floors and charming tile (but also quite small). The hot breakfast sandwich which was included on the grab and go menu was delicious and filling! We used the breakfast option twice of the four mornings we were there and just coffee on the other mornings. The blackout curtain option was wonderful as well. Also, the bottled water was always available for our daily outings and much appreciate. The NoMad location was excellent for walking to Madison Square Garden, Empire State Building, many dining options and as the weather was wonderful we walked to Times Square too. We felt safe 100% of the time in this beautiful neighborhood.

SerbiaWhen we arrived we first got very small room on the second floor next to very noisy A/C sistems for whole builidng. We complained but that night hotel was fully booked and they couldn't change our room. Any way, next day they changed our room, and moved us into normal room.
I liked the most perfect location, great for exploring NYC both uptown, midtown and also Soho, Noho etc. Also, the breakfast is really interesting and tastefull.

United KingdomWe had an issue with our toilet which meant we couldn’t flush it overnight and the water kept running. It kept us up all night! When we told reception, they did have someone to fix it. Our room wasn’t serviced one day so we had to ask to extra towels Not sure if the A/C worked well at all
