Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere was a barking dog below us, but it soon quit barking. People should be more considerate with their pets.
This was a good place to stay , and I would stay here again. I liked the little refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.

United StatesWhile the rooms were super clean, they weren't well organized. For example, when you enter the room and turn on the light switch, the light in the closet goes on. Another example is that the shower curtain bar worked fine, but was dislodged from the wall (likely, a previous guest had pulled it, as the screws were hanging loose, out of the wall.
The bed was comfy, and the room was impeccably clean. Breakfast had many options including cereal, muffins, yogurt, waffles, Lipton tea and a coffee/latte machine. Each room has a Keurig type coffee machine.

Norwaythe bathtub was very squeaky, it was not comfortable to take a bath in it. the shower was leaking water so it wasn't very comfortable to shower either. the walls were so thin that i could hear anyone arriving by car, walking upstairs, opening the door and everything. probably there's no easy fix for it, but wanted to mention. plus, i don't know why but my room never got cleaned in the 4 days i stayed.
the room was large and the bed was very comfortable. 2 working desks with chairs were very nice breakfast was just ok, coffee, waffle and muffins. would be great if there was some regular bread and cheese for breakfast.

United StatesMy 2nd visit I was by myself and was in a single bed room downstairs on the end. The shower was VERY small. If I were any bigger, ( I m 5 5 150) I would have had trouble turning around in it. It was that small. And because of the location of the room, I could hear the voice on the crossing lights directing people when it was safe to cross. Everything else was fine. But if you stay in another part of the hotel and in a bigger room, you will be very happy.
I stayed 2x in one week. First stay was in a double queen with a friend. Room was great. The owners are wonderful and breakfast was fine for me👍 The pool area was really nice, lots of tables and new looking. I d DEFINATELY recommend the double queen room though and not the single

United StatesLayout of the room was a bit cramped, with the shower literally like a phone booth and the towels seemingly narrow to match! "Breakfast" offerings were pretty sparse so were not used other than to get some milk or cereal.
The room had all of the listed amenities, was very clean and the cooling system worked well for those hot days, although its cycling on and off was louder than we would have liked.

United StatesAshland is small so location is all right. For the price, the value is OK. The off putting thing is that their front doors to the rooms need to be repainted. "Wecome to your room with a slum, run down, faded front door. The door is the worst part, paints the perception of the room interior. That big negative ruins the perception of the room.

United StatesCarpet very dirty
Lots to say. Staff and checking was awesome. Room was very small as is the bathroom and the carpet is very dirty and appears old. Bed is very comfortable though. Complimentary breakfast is decent but not great-better than some places and not as good as others-in the middle. However it was ok for us because the bed was so comfy. Clean the carpets!

United StatesThe room was very clean, but there was a strong unpleasant odor. I thought it might be the carpet, but it was especially bad in the bathroom… so maybe it was the cleaning products.
