First, booking.com had not sent email about our booking. It took extra long getting the issue resolved. But it was resolved eventually by a pleasant clerk. Most importantly, we had trouble with getting my sons (birthday boys) lap top connected to wifi. He has autism and became quite stressed. It took me a lot of time on the phone getting then the proper person to help resolve the issue. It took several hours to get it connected. I paid extra to ensure this would not happen. It did eventually get resolved though

We enjoyed the comfortable, clean, fresh beds in the suite. The kids loved playing at the in door pool. We enjoyed the beautiful view at Seaport Village, as well as, the car show and music at at the gaslamp area street fair. So much fun!

We didn’t like having to walk through the hot, humid, crowded indoor pool area to get to the gym.

The hotel entrance was so narrow that we had to stop our car on the busy street to drop off, unpack our luggages, with no assistance or guidance. The receptionist was not cheerful and friendly. We paid for the our stay but at the front desk I felt like they were doing us a favor to stay at the hotel. This was the first time my family stayed at the Embassy suite, so we didn't know much about this hotel. When handing over the room key, the receptionist did not give any instructions on where the room was or which way to go. When asked again, they Answered very harshly and not happily. I felt like we were not welcome at the hotel even though I paid $425 for a night’s stay there.

Breakfast here is okay compared to some other hotels but it's just simple dishes, nothing special. The hotel is in a good location, you can walk along the beach in the evening

Laundry machines for guests! Horrible! There are only four on the top two floors and three of the four were broken. We had to do laundry at 11 pm because of a long back up of guests waiting. A family hotel this large should have more laundry machines and they should be working. We were there four days and they never were fixed. I called the front desk and they’re kind of like “we’re waiting for outside repairs”. I have had appliace repairs done within 48 hours. Valet parking expensive (but men working were nice).

No courtesy water bottles. Hidden fees, Wasn’t aware of only valet parking $65 a night and $25 fee that you could use credit in one of restaurants/stores. Shower was dirty.

$25 a day resort fee that had to be used at the onsite restaurant and/or shop. The shop wasn’t open that often and the restaurant is not great. Felt like a money grab. The shower door leaked and flooded our bathroom floor when anyone showered.

Room was not serviced twice during our stay and never hovered - and we stayed for 6 nights. Hardly any vegan options for breakfast and nothing apart from frozen soy milk when asked - for 2024 and such a big chain this is very disappointing. Also did not like to drink out of plastic cups for breakfast and the amount that goes to waste every single day. Unnecessary.
