The super early checkout 10am and the inflexibility to check in or park before 4pm. The room which was actually a house had so many rules and regulations I was nervous! The green light above the bed was flashing all night and the aircon/hearing sounded like a 747.. it was comfortable but didnt get a good nignts sleep. Had to Uber everwhere.

Onsite parking. Informative folder in room. Good coffee.

Honestly, my only complaint is that although the place was large, with a huge dining room table and a full sized living room, the furniture was absolutely uncomfortable. Period pieces to fit in with the decor were just too old and soft. It could use a bit modernizing.

Great location to downtown cafes and restaurants, plus easy access to the trolly. Loved the neighborhood, felt safe. Loved the porch. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom was nice and updated. Good fridge, coffee maker. Great secure parking.

A lovely complex with secure parking within easy walking distance of downtown Tucson. Very comfortable bed but I could have done with a small set of steps to get into it. 😂

There was no soap in the vanity area so whenever we wanted to wash our hads we had to get some liquid soap from the shower.

The location was perfect for an inner city pad to base ourselves for our night out in Tucson.

Nothing beyond the 24 hours we had there - would have loved to have stayed longer.

Absolutely LOVED El Amador. I cannot fault it in any way, it was definitely my favourite stop on our recent tour of Arizona. Great Hosts (we had a very last minute 'special' requirement which they sorted right away), the room was full of character, the whole site is blessed with immaculate furnishings and fixtures, it's a beautifully appointed series of rooms and the whole complex, with it's open forum/water features and gardens is a little Oasis in the middle of Tucson. Amazing location, 5 minutes walk to downtown restaurants and bars. Cannot praise it (or the owners) highly enough, if you're in Tucson and want to stay somewhere with character and the highest possible standards, book a room here! Love, Love, LOVE it!

Unique property in a great location!

The bathroom door had to be kept closed at night due to a slightly offensive odor (old drainage system?). The property was so filled with antiques that we really didn't feel fully comfortable anywhere except the bedroom. Even when sitting at the dining table, we felt that we shouldn't move the placemats, tablecloth, centerpiece, etc. Other than the slight discomfort, I would not stay at this property again because it is too "over the top."

Well, this was certainly a surprise stay! We stayed in a beautifully appointed 1-bedroom home dating from 1897, complete with period furniture and paintings. The property looks clean but "ordinary" from the outside, and then once we entered, my jaw dropped to the floor - I was expecting luxury, but not an entire home, with chandeliers, a lovely fireplace, a fully functional kitchen, and Victorian furnishings throughout. We had a wonderful stay and slept well in the queen-sized bed with antique headboard and footposts. Would recommend to anyone who wants a unique experience.

The only thing I didn't care for was the QR codes for everything. Learn how to use the TV - here's a QR code. Hook up to WIFI? - QR Code. A note would have been sufficient because I really hate QR codes. The overwhelming smell of Fabuloso - I'm overly sensitive to cleaners etc. though. I also was not entirely sure about what to do for check out.

The El Amador is a nice little hidden gem near downtown. Everything was very clean and the communication was great! The courtyard is nice and clean with spots to just hang out and relax. I would not hesitate to send friends or family here to stay. Everything looks like it was fairly recently built and appears pretty solid. The rooms have adequate space and there aren't a ton of knick-knacks taking up space to that was nice. The linens were all clean and tidy - The soap was free of perfumes and dyes so that was also very nice since I'm allergic to most things.
