The only criticism I had is that there was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee pot. :(

We had a beautiful view of the lake and mountains from our spacious room. We loved it!

Hotel listing indicated booking a car might be possible but after booking I was informed that service was not offered.

Great lodge room with a lovely patio and amazing views. Property has a little pond with a firepit and grill. Easy walk into town and very close to the visitor center.

Nicely renovated motel with access to all Estes Park attractions.

The room was small for two travelers with multiple bags. It's right on the primary street through Estes Park, which is good in terms of finding it but bad in terms of traffic. It was hot when we were there, and the room got very warm when the afternoon sun beat in through the windows. It would really benefit from a screen door to the balcony that could be left open without worrying about critters coming in.

Attractively renovated motel with a comfy bed and nice bedding. Bathroom was also very nice. Offers a hot breakfast. Our room had a balcony that overlooked a pond and a 9-hole golf course. One evening a herd of elk came and stayed quite a while, and geese flew in and out of the pond all day.

More seating at breakfast, it was a little crowded.

The staff was very friendly. I needed something printed and they accomodated me. Also, our family enjoyed the 6 elk that passed through the property.

The room wasn't as clean as I expected. There was a stain on the bed and a bug in the towel. After the room cleaning the bathroom was still dirty.

The room was very spacious and the view is beautiful. the staff is very nice and the breakfast was small but ok. location is great, it's located right next to the visitors center.

I have to say that the carpet in our room seemed a little moist…..? But other than that, we loved it and plan to stay here again next year, hopefully!

Great location, close to downtown Estes and cute little lodge. We loved getting to observe the family of elk that came onto the property to forage for their dinner so up close and personal!

The tub was very slippery and scary when taking a shower. Upstairs was difficult for us due to ankle problems. Next time we will be sure to ask for lower level. Beds not very comfortable.

Room was nice and clean and had nice refrigerator space. The location and view was fabulous!

Room smaller than on the web site. No ceiling fan. Our room was below office/breakfast area, lots of noise in the morning.

Location. Walking distance to just about everything. Visitor Center just down the street.Stanley Hotel 15 minute walk. Down town a short walk to the west. Breakfast was okay. Room had no table & chair. No ceiling fan. Our room was below the office/breakfast area. Alot of morning noise. Had a nice view of the pond, geese but missed the elk. Room wasn't cleaned once in 5 days we stayed.

Ac effectiveness fluctuated throughout the day but worked very well at night

Breakfast was amazing, the rooms are huge, very clean, close to downtown, lots of wildlife in the area, fun hangout activities. Trout pond was a bonus (didn’t catch anything but saw some big ones!) , beds were comfy, and easy check in.

    Nothing

It was wonderful from the view, walking distance to different places and the room was excellent as well as staff being friendly. We had a tour of the Stanley Hotel from the Shining, and it was a night tour . It was very easy to get to from the Discovery Lodge, plus a very safe area.

Didn’t like the door so close to hitting the bed, the bed frames were so noisy every time that you moved, there wasn’t hooks for your coats, backpacks, or bath towels. No one came to fix the shower handle and the water was scalding hot.

The location was convenient, parking was easy, and the view was pretty.

If on the bottom level you can hear the noise of upstairs guests walking, but it was nothing that kept us awake. Not an issue for us, but if in a room right on the road, the noise could be bothersome.

We were pleasantly surprised at finding Discovery Lodge. The location was perfect for driving to the RMNP and easy access to walk along the Riverwalk into Estes Park which we loved. The views were spectacular. We were not in a view room, but just stepping outside and walking around the property was wonderful. The staff was very helpful and efficient with check-in. There is even a fire pit to sit around in the evenings. Breakfast was very nice. We would totally stay here again!

Early check in even though getting to properly at 320 not 1 or 2, was lost

Was charged for early checking when I ended up arriving at 320 and not earlier, other guests were checked in and given room. Shouldn't have been charged extra
