Charged me twice and is making me jump thru hoops to cancel the first charge. Now onto working with my credit card company because hotel was difficult

Super pricey for the accommodations but that’s simply because it was graduation weekend. The room in general wasn’t modern or spacious but clean & convenient.

Location was perfect for Syracuse graduation! Staff was friendly and very helpful. I didn’t eat at the property so I cannot comment. But the staff was on top of an issue I had and didn’t stop even after I checked out to help it be resolved and I really appreciated that.

Elevator was a bit complicated. Unpredictable, at how to operate/configure the digital pad. Was stuck for a brief moment. Again error at booking.

Very Clean, concierge Liam, was very patient & helpful. There was some error/confusion at check-in with booking. Encountered staff was helpful, pleasant, and cheerful. Bed was very comfortable.

I alerted the reception staff to an apparent reservation systems issue: When booking our room on Booking.com, we chose an option to pay a fixed $10 price for breakfast, which was also spelled out in our confirmation. However, the hotel staff could not find this pricing, which was different from the standard $17 for weekend buffet, and no particular price (a la carte) for weekday breakfasts.

Room and facilities were clean. Staff very helpful. Buffet breakfast offered on weekends good. Dinner choices were limited but tasty. The hotel waived a standard $15 parking fee, reportedly due to low occupancy.

The management needs to beef up their staff. We had dinner and drinks and only one person to handle the bar and serve 22 people(I counted) but I believe Sherry was her name, did an incredible job handling all of it with humor and efficiency and was very personable and actually kept all going. Having been a GM in my career in hotels and private country clubs I can tell she is a keeper. She enjoys her job even under pressure. Kudos to her. She made up for any shortcomings in short staff.

Felt nervous walking from parking structure to and from hotel, especially at night. Did not sense any security presence at the hotel. Double bolted my door.

Front desk could have been more informative about exiting the parking garage. I inquired about it just before departure. She said “If you have any problems, let us know”. When I entered the sign said take ticket to front desk when you check in. I had already checked in. I didn’t think much about it, but two cars had to wait behind me while I figured out that I was going to have to pay to get out, get my credit card out, etc.

This property seems to highly discourage using third party booking sites. I was not allowed to get IHG points for this stay and was told that I wasn't eligible for the daily breakfast special because I'd booked through a third party site. I overheard them tell guest after guest that they weren't eligible for ______ because they booked through a third party site. I've stayed at this property several times and each time I've been placed in a room in the exact same location in the hotel - right outside of the elevator, facing the expressway. These rooms are especially loud and clearly it's the doghouse part of the property. I also didn't like that the room darkening window treatments don't close all the way. There is about a three foot gap over the AC unit.

The hotel is conveniently located to Syracuse University and has been updated in the past several years. Free and easy parking. Friendly restaurant staff.
