Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesTo serve dispenser coffee (or whatever that was) was very disappointing at breakfast. Occupants 1 floor above me were noisy into the night, very disappointing. I filled up my water bottle from the dispenser as suggested by the host, and the water was hideous tasting. Heavy chlorine or something. Threw it out. The coffee pods are awful as an offering, as well as the powdered milk. The floor in this handicapped accessible bathroom was slippery with whatever the floor was cleaned with...it left an oily residue that was slippery with my sneakers on. Quite dangerous!
Room was clean and comfortable. I liked the spaciousness of it. I especially appreciated the handicapped access because my hip is poor and the handles in the bathroom helped.

United StatesThe front desk was not much of a greeter as you typically see at most hotel chains. Which was okay, get your keys to your room and get on about your day, evening. The elevator seems to need to be fixed, but it got me up and down safely.
The price was good. The bed was comfortable for a one nights stay from a long drive. The hotel was quiet.

I didn't want to fill it with water as I thought it would leak out on to the floor. 2. the heavy curtains were fixed and did not close with only light curtains on the windows. being on the first floor the room was very bright at night. I prefer a dark room for sleeping
