Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BrazilWater pressure could be better for shower. After walking all day, all you want is a high pressure shower. Also they could offer a fast internet option (even if paid). The internet is OK to navigate and read some emails, but if you need more speed, you don't have the option.
Location was great with easy access to most of the attractions we wanted to go as family. Staff was also great, always prompted to help in case you needed something.

We wanted to stay somewhere after visiting Universal Studios. The location worked out well. The staff was very friendly. We ended up checking in late and it was not an issue. And they had a room with sofa bed so all 5 in our family could stay in one room. The breakfast was good. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

United StatesHeat was all or nothing, and noisy. No extra blanket in the room, and the one they ended up bringing was super thin (but clean!). The outlets on the lamp by the bed didn't really work. My room was on the bottom floor facing the parking lot, in the corner. Because there were other rooms deeper into the hotel, everybody wanted to park in front of my room, so in the mornings, I heard alot of trucks warming up and doors slamming and suitcase wheels rumbling by etc. No way for them to help that, but if you want to sleep later, get a room upstairs in the back.
Very clean and they clean every day, bed was comfy. Free parking and internet that seemed pretty fast, and there's a desk in the room. Good water pressure too. The staff, especially cleaning service, were very nice and friendly and helpful. The breakfast is decent, not great, but it's nice to be able to walk over and get some coffee and a little breakfast.
