Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location of the hotel is perfect… you can walk to the places. …example to Smithonian Museum… White House. The staff is very friendly.

This hotel is the epitome of convenience. Perfect location in the city in that you close to the national mall as well as other neighborhoods DC has to offer. Very good breakfast being served every morning which always hits the spot. Front desk staff were as lovely as ever and are willing to offer recommendations in spots to eat in the city. And a comfy room with the most comfortable bed with clean sheets. All for a decent price! Will definitely book here again when the time comes to visit DC again.

GermanyI remained stuck in the elevator and didn't get any help or assistance until the elevator went back to some floor and opened the doors. That was scary and the cleaning lady told me that that elevator should have been marked as out of order but it wasn't!
The room I had was nice and cosy. Staff was nice and helpful. I particularly liked the breakfast, the luggage storage and the possibility to do the laundry.

United KingdomRoom was not as clean as it could be when I first arrived. Carpet and curtains were stained and quite old. You have to ask for your bed to be made each day, which I did twice, but it wasn’t done either time despite my asking.

GermanyThe room smelled slightly like cigarette, which did not disturb us but could be important to other visitors. We would appreciate the use of permanent breakfast tableware instead of disposable ones.
The staff at reception was very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is great to access most of the touristic spots by feet. The breakfast was simple and good. The room was quiet although located above a busy street.

GermanyThe bathroom was dirty, the tapestry was peeling off the walls. Almost 200 dollars for one night’s stay, yet the standard of the room was not matching with that price. I messaged the hotel 2 days prior on Booking to tell them my partner would arrive before me and to let him check in (the room was in my name). They didn’t reply and they didn’t let my partner check in.
Great location, luggage storage available, coffee and iced water in the lobby, breakfast included.
