Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe beds were awful. They were somehow uncomfortably squishy without being soft. The lighting in the room could have been better. There were a lot of lamps, but none of them were very illuminating.
The staff were amazing, super nice, and accommodating. They took great care of us. The location was perfect for our concert at Nationwide Arena. Check-in/out was smooth and easy.

United StatesThe hotel is very big and accommodating to big groups and organizations which is fine but we had a bunch of young adults around on our floor and in the rooms beside us that were very loud and I heard a lot of clicks at the door like someone trying to open our door. Hated your brown cheap toilet paper!
I like that it was close to places I wanted to go , that it was clean, had a coffee shop, restaurant and convenience stores also staff was very friendly and helpful.

United StatesThe room had an ice box but not a microwave, so we had to eat some cold pizza. You may be able to request a microwave. If we got out of bed in the middle of the night, floor lights under the beds automatically went on to see our way to the bathroom. It was unexpected and seemed bright. There were only two small drawers to unpack in. There was empty wall space under the TV. Perhaps other rooms may have an additional dresser.
We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Columbus, OH for a week in January 2024 while attending the US Figure Skating Championships at Nationwide Arena. We were offered a room on the top floor, as an upgrade. The room faced the Arena a few blocks away and we could tell if it was raining or not. We decided to arrive a day later than our reservation, and booking.com assisted in making this change without any penalty. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant and one or two lunches. The food was very good. We used the valet parking. It made arriving and departing very convenient although it was more expensive than self-parking.
