The building and components are very old and should be updated/replaced/renovated.

The hostel is near the ocean, a wonderfull beach where is possible to do surf. The position is perfect for visit San Diego. The staff is very nice and the place friendly!

I rented the bicycle there but the person who gave the bike to me, did not teach me how to brakes it. I had to came back and ask.

the location is great to relax. the hostel is about 100 feet off the beach and the beach itself allows you to doing sports or just calm down while watching the waves and a beautiful sundown. i had a bedroom with 8 beds. it was good. one gets everything explained and the check in process is super down-to-earth. well done.

I would have given an extra point but due the fact that there weren't a lot of guests during my time there (5 nights) I can't go beyond an 8. What makes really a hostel stand out are the guests themselves. The staff from the hostel was always helpful and nice but I couldn't help but feel like I was a guest in somebody else's house due to the guest/staff ratio :). That being said this is by no means a criticism on the hostel per se as I'm sure that in other circumstances other people will enjoy this place a lot!

This hostel's location is so convenient, right in front of the best beaches in town. PB has also a decent nightlife with many bars at walking distance. The facilities are well equipped and although I didn't cook there you can find basically everything you need. The breakfast (included in the price) was always good.

Initially I was scared to sleep in one room with many people, but everything went smoothly, so nothing to complain. I might change the placement of the fan, so that it would not blow into the beds on the top level, and offer flipflpos to guests, but overall I got satisfied.

Very small hostel; you get to know and talk to everybody, which is part of the fun. Lovely staff, lot of activities. They made sure I had a good time in San Diego.

With the good comes the ... expected. It's a hostel after all. Sharing bathrooms can be tough, especially when you encounter the occasional traveler who stays in there for 45 minutes. Just keep these things in mind when booking, but otherwise, this is truly a great hostel.

Location, location, location. You can't beat it. Steps away from the beach and everything else PB has to offer. And it's an excellent option if you need fairly cheap (but clean!) accommodations.

Refrigerator was a bit small for everyone. Would have brought a towel if I knew. Glad I had a bottom rack. The upper one had a skylight and was very bright.

Happy staff willing to help with anything. Good breakfast plenty of everything. Large community room for relaxing .
