We booked a stay for my in-laws wedding anniversary from far away. They staff was so helpful making sure they put all the charges in our tab, so my in-laws didn't have to worry about payment. They.made sure my family was taken care of and had a wonderful time.

Room service felt like an over charge. I know it is supposed to be a higher charge but 27 plus dollars for coffee and fruit.

Staff was amazing. Restaurant and grill ware both excellent. Must try the corn dip.

Room was dated but clean.The carpet had been damaged, and repaired with a patch. The air vents were covered in dust. Attended an event on site. The staff was excellent there as well. Food was delicious.

The resort is beautiful. It is centrally located where you could actually drive thirty minutes in any direction to see something new. The restaurant was excellent. I am looking forward to coming back.

We stayed in a king room on the 3rd floor, comfortable, completely equipped with fridge, microwave, sofa, table. We enjoy Keurig-made coffee in the mornings (Starbucks, dark roast), so we always bring our Keurig single-cup travel-pot when on the road. Was surprised to find the rooms at this resort had Keurigs. Nice! We checked out the pools, one indoor, the other outdoor. The indoor pool was nicely heated and spotless. Had planned to use the sauna, but didn’t because they were located inside the bathrooms, and we would’ve been unable to sauna together. We enjoyed the Friday night seafood buffet and prime rib. The Saturday morning breakfast buffet was the only option other than room service. The food was standard breakfast fare and I thought fifty bucks for two old folks’ meager breakfast was a bit much. Next time I will order room service, $17 each. We enjoyed a nice morning 4-mile walk on the property, the bulk of which on the beautiful golf course on which we encountered one single golfer. The resort is a golfer’s paradise. I had brought my clubs along but due to time constraints (Georgia Dawgs playing Tennessee at 3:30 p.m.) I elected to drive six miles to Hayesville N.C., where I was able to play nine holes at Chatuge Shores Golf Course. ($25) A good decision as the resort’s course is laid out in a continuous 18 hole design, $59 weekdays, $69 weekends. We were at the resort celebrating my 67th birthday. Our daughter and son-in-law made the drive up for dinner on Friday night and brought our grandsons. Priceless!

The rooms seem like they could use a little bit of update/maintainance - such as paint and scuff touch-ups. Right now it seems a tad dingy. Also the bathtub drain was slow and started to back up which is gross. There was also no vent fan in the bathroom. It just seems for the amount that I paid for one night these things would be a non issue.

The atmosphere of the location is amazing. The massive fireplace creates a vibe immediately on entrance that is stunning.

Spa is not open every day. you have to make reservations for spa services before you book the room.

Mountain View’s, fire in the huge lobby fireplace, Christmas decorations throughout lodge, very nice restaurant and Sports Bar.
