Location was excellent. Beds are very comfy which is vital when you are walking around all day. Coffee shop downstairs is a vibe and serves good coffee and food.

First room had no heat and temp was 45 degrees. Second room was better but couldnt get temp above 65 or 66.

Staff is wonderful and responsive, Location is perfect, bakery in the lobby is divine.

The room was nice but it felt a little bit gloomy at times and the door to the room looked a bit old and was a bit gappy (could hear slamming doors and people in the hallway at times)

The vibe, the ground floor and live music in the evening! Bathroom and shower was really nice too.

I always like to have a small refridgerator in the room. The room reminded me of an L7 hotel I stayed at in Seoul S Korea recently except there was no fridge, no view and it NYC is about 3x the price

The staff as very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was able to switch us from a king room to 2 queens when we got there. We had an issue with the safe not opening and they sent a technician up right away. I also needed a needle and thread to repair my husband's jacket and they sent someone right up with a sewing kit!

Had to call several times for water and towels. There was 3 of us and only 2 waters. Also the body wash in shower was empty. Surprisingly, I have stayed there several times but never had any issues prior to pandemic.

A sitting area in our room. We had a large room, lots of space- and one chair. So sitting on the bed while we were in the room. Not the end of the world- but it would have enhanced the room as well as our stay. Expensive for one night

Lack of comfy chair(s)in the room (1408) - particularly when sitting out on the terrace was only possible in warmer weather. How about something a little more homey? And why the automobile showroom lighting ( on one switch, no options) over the bed? Loved the room and the view though.

Its relaxed ambience, welcoming design ( although I miss the baby grand in the lounge) and good coffee, excellent house service from our room cleaner .

Its proximity to Central Park - CVS is just across, our favorite breakfast place is also just six minutes away by foot. The room, while still small, is larger than other Manhattan hotels we’ve checked into in the past. It also comes with two complimentary bottles of water upon arrival.

At the end of my stay I had difficulty getting an itemized bill. I requested it three times and was told that because the printers were down I would receive it via email. It never arrived. After reaching my destination (Madrid), I again called and found that the bill had been sent to an incorrect address.

The staff was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. For example, I requested a refrigerator and a kettle and received both within minutes. The procedures and regulations were clear. The common rooms were very cozy and lovely. The room was spacious and well-appointed.

The check in was a bit unfortunate. It was Friday evening and a band was playing right next to the front desk so it was super loud and the lady who checked us in didn’t bother to give us any further information (directions to the room, wifi, water fountain, bathrooms, check out time). We didn’t feel welcome. Apart from this experience, everyone else was friendly and helpful. There was hair in the bathroom when we checked in and when I dropped something next to the sink I found other stuff and a lot of dust because it’s almost impossible to reach and obviously to clean.

We were very happy about the space we got because I had different experiences in the city before. The room itself was nicely furnished and clean.

It was like being in a neighborhood with your own coffee shop. Sophisticated comfortable. There was a crosstown bus to the met and the Guggenheim only two blocks away. Playground for children. Walked to natural history to see the new addition where there was also a farmer’s market and. Food carts on Sunday.

It took the reception 15 minutes to find my reservation. I had to wait in the lobby until the receptionist found my reservation. Then when they did find it, they didn't tell me that they found it and I can get my room, I had to wait in line again and ask the receptionist what's up, only to find out that they found it. When I make a reservation through Booking I expect the check in process to take no longer than 1 minute, I don't understand why I need to wait 15 minuets after a flight. The room itself was spacious and renovated, but the shower and toilets were old. For example, the shelves and sink were made of metal which just gives a kind of weird feeling. WiFi in the room didn't work immediately after check-in, it took it about 20 minutes. It may sound petty, but there was also no mobile internet connection from the room (at least with my T-Mobile provider), and I was in a hurry for a meeting which I needed its details and I couldn't get them.
