The grounds are filled with beautiful gardens. Each patio felt private as we were surrounded by a wall of shrubbery. We also loved the high ceilings which gave the already large room an expansive feel. It was also fun to feed the alpacas and goats.

It is bordering on “stuck in time”. A cross between an Italian villa and Nanas bedroom. It is stepping up to the edge of being dated and yet still ok. I think an Italian interior designer needs to come in and give it a once over. The staff is incredible and their grounds are insane, but the decor needs a refresher. I was looking for the fax.

This is a beautiful property, no doubt. Many amenities and really a place you need not leave.

Indeed an awesome hotel in a lovely town. The scenery incredible, enjoyed every moment of our stay. Decor stunning and we loved the detail of the artwork, especially the lines of the Sequoia hardwood and the explanations. Compliments to the chef on the food, we enjoyed our dishes. Thank you to ALL the staff, the service are extraordinary.

The only thing we had wished for, was to stay a little longer in order to enjoy more time here!

The entire property was beautiful, well maintained, relaxing and very quiet. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The staff was very polite and helpful, and even though we were not in need of anything, they were always there to assist us. This property was indeed, one of the best properties we have stayed at.

You couldn’t really ride the bikes anywhere but honestly, it was fine. It’s an absolutely gorgeous place.

Outside of the look and feel of the property itself, and a comfortable room, the place lacks the finer detail to meet its pricing levels and the expectations that come with it. Staff was kind and polite, but not very attentive. Food/drinks are very expensive ($8 for a cup of tea), and the limited other proper lunch/dinner options in surroundings force you to eat at Allegretto. Limited water stations, and no streaming options (Netflix etc.) in the room.

No help from bellman and one parking attendant chased us down (literally) to tell us we couldn’t park in the parking spot that we parked in. I think it was all about $$ and wanting us to pay for valet. Just such a silly policy. For the price of these rooms parking should be included. After all this is just a small town not SF LA or New York. It made this place feel pretentious and rude. Other than that experience it was a nice hotel.

I think a paved walkway from the resort to the north parking lot would be more practical for rolling luggage.

Lunch outside was excellent. The grounds are beautiful. It is located close to town. Having lived in Paso in the 50’s and 60’s I appreciated the historic pictures in the hallways.

We thought the “extra” charges for bringing our dog were extremely out of line. Not only did we have to pay an additional $50 per night pet fee, they required that you upgrade your room to the patio type which cost us an additional $50 per night. All in all we paid $400 extra for 4 nights for our dog which caused not extra cleaning and created no extra hassle for anyone. We were also quite disappointed in the prices of food at the restaurant. The portions were huge. My suggestion is that you cut the portion size as well as the price.
