Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FinlandHousekeeping was not working very well. We ended up having to buy our own toilet paper at a few occasions, and could only get additional amenities after asking the front desk THREE times within one day. We finally got what we had been asking for well after midnight, and even then the front desk staff had to bring it to us.

Trinidad and TobagoMy room was hot through my stay. As such, I was a bit uncomfortable. Fortunately, I was out of the room for most of the time. An Adria-hotel-branded shuttle service does not operate between the area's two major airports and the hotel. A NYC yellow cab taxi charged me $91 from JFK to the hotel at 2:45 in the morning. That was a major fleecing. Breakfast could be varied daily if only because guests come from international destinations, Caribbean, Latin American, Asia, Oceania, Middle East. An airport-type scale is not positioned in a corner in the lobby close to the elevator for customers to weigh their suitcases prior to leaving the hotel and heading to the airport, and/or in lieu of no airport-type scale in the lobby, there are no bathroom scales in the rooms. If these were available they would ease hotel guests' anxiety prior to them heading to the airport where they may be beholden to pay exorbitant overweight charges to the airlines. Beds are not made up daily and rooms are not cleaned daily by chamber maids.
Very, very helpful front desk personnel and very amiable and courteous chamber maids and handymen. Clearly, the training of hotel staff was effective and redounded to the benefit of the hotel and its guests. Available free hotel parking was most valued by me because I rented a car. Complimentary breakfast was another plus.

The neighbourhood felt safe, the location is close to highways, public transit, and restaurants . The parking was free and so was breakfast. The staff were very friendly and efficient.
