“The motel is the sort of place that you could imagine being used as a set in a film about a hood who's gone to ground after a deal gone wrong. The effect was highlighted when two unbelievably loud motorbikes arrived late in to the evening. That could be positive or negative, depending on your point of view - I was out for an old school road trip and it kind of added to the charm. The room was clean and comfortable enough for my purposes, and very good value.”
