Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Yurdakul and his wife were exceptional hosts and went out of their way to ensure we were happy. The location is just beautiful and so peaceful particularly when the tours have left for the day. Great swimming and kayaking off the bay or just reading on the sun loungers. The huge breakfast sitting out on the pontoon overlooking the water and fish was really lovely. Would recommend.

Czech RepublicBit noisy duruing the day (tourist boats) ? Could be. Sometimes not 100 pct clean sea in harbour ? Yes. Slightly overpriced ? Maybe. But The PLACE takes it all - one can hardly imagine more romantic and rustical fisherman´s village with historical genius loci involved. When tourists sail away - dinners and breakfasts in deserted village on private small pier are fantastic. Beautifull Kekova bay is best to explore on sea kayaks - breathtaking views indeed.. And Mr. Sahil as a bonus -extremely pleasant gentleman ... Really different experience than large all-inclusive hotel complexes.

Such great attention to detail. And a kindness from the owners that translates across language barriers. The rooms were clean and comfortable and it was so nice spending time with the owners. The dinner was basic but very good as well. The pension and city itself are so unique, and the family and I just enjoyed sitting on the dock swimming and watching the boats go by. I got refreshed and enjoyed every minute, only wishing I could have spent a few more nights there.

United StatesIf you're looking for unique and humble experience, this is the place. You can spend excellent time in a village where people lived continuously for more than 2000 years. Location is the best and the owner Mr. Yurdakul is a real gentleman.

IrelandNothing. A must visit!
The setting of this place is fabulous. Accommodation was very clean and the owners are fabulous hosts. This and the location made our stay. Our only disappointment was that we could not stay longer due to a full house. Breakfast and dinner were great. The sea bream so fresh and tasty. WiFi excellent. Our kids had so much fun on the kayaks. Thanks for your hospitality. We would highly recommend visiting and staying here.

United KingdomNothing negative to say. The pension is fairly expensive compared some in other towns/villages, but the location makes it worthwhile. If you're wanting to stay in KaleUcagiz then I really recommend this place.
Wonderful, relaxing modest pension right on the waterfront. Our hosts were absolutely lovely. Fantastic breakfast each morning right on the dock, looking out over the scenery. In fact, it was so nice we elected to have dinner each night in the same place which was simple but delicious. We mostly loafed about, swimming and making use of the free kayaks to explore up the coast. Note that you're not allowed (by the coastguard) to cross to explore Kekova Island by kayak from here (there are day tours from Kas if you want to do that) but we did pay for a boat trip across to the Island to see the buried ruins (organized by our hosts). We also explored the castle and ate lots of ice cream. We were picked up from Ucagiz and dropped off at the end by small boat. Altogether a lovely stay.

UkraineShips with tourists coming during the day from 11 till 17. But Sahil doesn' let them moore to our jetty. So they can park only near neighbouring hotels, but still they are annoying.
Breakfast is OK. Location is the best out of the whole bunch of hotels. Owners are superb. If you want some special food they cook it for you. You want some special Turkish wine they order it and bring from The Big land. You want breakfast at 11- it's OK, you want breakfast at 7 am - no problems. And let me reiterate - location, location and one more time location!!! The whole jetty is yours. The mini market is few steps away. I am planning to come back in September. Have some questions https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeE6-ZcunIVDbkThIQODjmQ , I will place report in couple days.

FranceThe room was a little small for 4 and the diner/lunch menu did not have much choice. Overall prices in Kekova bay are rather high compared to elsewhere in Turkey. So the rating on value for money not necessarily reflecting on Sahil Pension in particular.
Pretty beach with free kayaks; super well located; excellent and copious breakfast; super nice host.
