Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

EstoniaBamboo bed and floors are making some noise, but hostel provides free ear plugs.
I loved that place! The whole hostel was very chill, relaxing and authentic. I like the rooms with it's bamboo beds and mosquito nets, I had a couple of fans in my room. I also loved main common area with it's hammocks and all those smaller places where to chill. From terrace it's so nice view to the river, field and mountain. Shower was nice and clean, hot water is available. Breakfast is modest but good (pineapple, watermelon and toast). The whole are was clean! Wifi was good. They also provide some tours! Lady in reception is super friendly and helpful. Location is nice, around 500-700 m from night market and bus station.

United KingdomWell, burning season was in full swing so that was a bit disappointing, also you could hear the people in the next dorm as clearly as if they were in the same room.
I loved the look of the place, old wooden building with lots of space to relax. The view overlooking the river was magical, even in the haze of "burning season".

United KingdomVery quiet that I felt like I had to whisper to everyone, however if you want a calm hostel then it’s perfect. Also quite a walk into the town.
The most unique hostel I’ve stayed in. So beautifully made and lots of cool places to sit like hammocks, day beds etc. The breakfast was tasty too.

IsraelIt's a 12 minute walk from the main street. Beds aren't the most comfortable, and creak a bit.
Sher (reception) was amazing! The place is like a tree house, really beautiful. Never had to wait for shower/bathroom. Deck area and hammocks were really fun.

ItalyThere aren't enough toilets for all the guests, so often you have to wait to take a shower and there isn't always soap for washing your hands. The mattresses are quite thin. Just small details that would upgrade the experience, but I'll definitely recommend this hostel, and I will come back :)
The hostel has a lot of space where you can relax and enjoy nature. The staff is friendly and every morning they serve fresh fruit for breakfast !

United KingdomThe only downside is you can hear the busy traffic on the toad outside from the early morning really clearly and super loud- so make sure you have good ear plugs!
The staff were really lovely and accomodating- I had a hiccup with my booking and another guest reservations and they were good at helping to find a solution. The location is really good and the surroundings are beautiful- really nice to watch the world go by in the hammocks!

ItalyMy dorm had a bamboo roof, so of course it’s very cold at night. The water in the shower was not warm.
The has been the chilliest place I have ever been in my life. It’s full of areas where you can relax, with hammocks, sofas, reclining chairs and beds by the river. You also have your breakfast included with fruit and toast with butter and jam. You can also refill your bottle with drinkable water.

NetherlandsThe beds make a lot of noise and are not the most comfortable. There were only two showers and bathrooms for the entire hostel with low water pressure and cold water (and it can be quite cold in Pai in the evening so a hot shower is something which would be nice). The city centre is walking distance but in general I would recommend renting a scooter to get around in Pai.
I loved this hostel and especially the amazing garden they have looking over the river. They had a lot of hammocks and lounge places in the garden. Besides the garden they also have a lovely terrace overlooking Pai. The rooms were fine and breakfast was good.
