Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyWe were staying there two times, on Monday and on Sunday. Sunday was perfect, as there were a lot of other tourists around and the hostel was full of different people. On Monday, however, there were not as many people (only men, 40 years+ on their own). Thus, we would not recommend it for solo females travelling, unless it's a weekend. We did feel a bit unsafe, as there is no staff around at night.
The location is amazing. There are free lockers for everyone.

IndiaYou are not allowed to sit in common area if you are arriving early, you can keep your bag in common area at your own responsibility but you have to leave the hostel & come at the checkin time. No kitchen or kettle for hot water.
It's a basic hostel very near to the center area. Bed was comfortable & I had good sleep. Dorm is spacious with lockers. Host was nice & helpful but I felt being a staff he has limitations & rules by the owner which resist him to help guests sometimes.

United StatesThe wifi was horrible. It worked a little in some parts of the building and hardly at all in the bedroom. The way the shower is designed, it is too easy to splash water. There should be glass enclosures over the shower.
For the most part, the property was in a good location and the staff were fairly nice. Some of the wall murals and artwork on the walls were cute as well.

SwedenThe WiFi connection only reached the hallway, when in the bedroom it was nowhere to be seen. The bathrooms were always wet since people apparently do not dry off before exiting the shower. The lockers for storage were not really usable as the locker door was barely lockable.

NorwayNoisy beds, bathrooms (floor always full of water from the shower, not the cleanest, smells a bit, lacking somewhere to place your things, doors hard to open/close), no personal light by the beds in the room, and poor to no wifi connection downstairs in the room.
Good location, decent quality relative to the price, big lockers, spacious, nice common room and no hidden charges for linens/towels etc. Stayed here one night and think it works well for that.

the location is great. the private rooms are great value. i stayed in a 4 bunk room with private bathroom. it is not flashy but in a excellent location, friendly helpful staff, access to a lounge area with ping pong . I have relatives I could stay with but for the experience of staying in the heart of the city, this was a great choice
