Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room is very small for four people. It was fine for three days but I wouldn’t want to stay longer. There was no obvious sign of beating. I assume it was underfloor. This was fine, but it took a good few hours to get the room warm. I’m not sure how well this would work in winter.
Great location. A short drive or tram ride into the city. Free parking. Good value

SwedenThey only have bunk bed which does not leave enough head space when you get out of bed. I stayed alone so the size of the stuga was great for me, but it has 4 beds in the room and the size is definitely too small for 4 guest. So if you are a family, I would suggest to get the family stuga as the single one would be too small.
Close to the city, clean, very cozy and the stuga has every thing you need.

HungaryThe sofa bed was (by design) a bit dangerous for our toddler because of the iron parts on the sides. Also the bathroom smelt bad. The cabin was quite small, we had little space for moving around but for our short stay it was OK.
Bunk bed, terrace. Good public transport. Nice surroundings (nature). Play ground.

United StatesLittle to no airflow required us to open the doors and windows, which even then had minimal ability to open. Addition of fans would be a huge X factor.

NetherlandsThere weren’t good ventilation options at night. (The windows didn’t offer a possibility to keep them open at night without the possibility anyone could enter the cottage through the window)

FinlandAs I said, nothing to complain - everything was as good as they say on Booking.com
We´re only one night visit but like very much. We could park just front of house. Cottage was clean and nice with all necessary. Just ideal for two travellers. We came late but found keys from box using code. Nearby was pizzeria and kebab restaurant and Tempo store. Early in the morning we got super breakfast only 10 euros/person. So nothing to complain and next time we choose Lisebergsbyn stugor. To the Gothenburg center is only 15 minutes by tram. From site 10 minutes by walk.

NorwayWi-Fi... It's sooo bad... I was there for the second time, the first time Wi-Fi was hardly usable, this time it was UNUSABLE. Could not even connect to it or keep the connection. May I remind you it is year 2023... Also tv, there are only analog channels, all 5 of them. TV's are old so can't cast from PC or Phone to them, even if they had that, they wouldn't work because of (no)Wi-Fi... Lunch sucks. It costs (at the time of visit) 115 kr, but the choice of dishes is very poor. Bread, some salami or ham, maybe cheese spread and that's it. No warm food which you could expect in places like this. Only boiled eggs, which also were odd, because hard boiled egg was still in half liquid state.
Everything is good :). Cabins are a little old style, but i don't mind, i kind of like it that way. The location is very good, accessible with public transport.

TurkeyThe rooms were clean in general, but the drain of the sink was problematic and it was necessary to constantly wipe the floor with a duster.
It was an authentic accommodation experience in a large green area. . Breakfast was nice. The staff was friendly. It is not very close to the center, but since we came by car, it was not a problem.
