Only complaint is the rooms are quite small and bathrooms could use some updating (I've never been a fan of shower wet rooms that leave everything wet in the bathroom).

Before we arrived I had asked for a room with a nice view. The room we were allocated was very clean and comfortable but the view was terrible. That was very disappointing.

We were in one of the newly renovated rooms which was done to a high standard but was tiny. It was a fine compromise to make for location but be aware that the room and the ensuite are tiny.

The location is perfect for being a tourist. It’s an eccentric old building with a magnificent dining room. And a small gym in the basement.

My only nit is that room was small. It had no desk/table one could sit at. Also the bathroom lacked a shelf where one could easily lay out toiletries.

The location is perfect for seeing all of central Stockholm and for enjoying boat excursions. The breakfast buffet was really well stocked with plenty of variety to satisfy all tastes. My room was recently renovated and nicely appointed with a small balcony. The dining hall is just outstandingly beautiful, more so than anticipated. Also a lovely outside dining area or places for drinks just bordering a small park.

We had a very unpleasant experience on our second night in the hotel. Staying in a cosy room on the fourth floor room 418, we heard a loud crash around 11 pm which turned out to be one of the very heavy stone tiles from the ceiling. Thankfully, we were not close to the collapsed portion of the ceiling otherwise there may have been injuries. Maintenance staff came immediately and noted the damage. Hotel manager Astrid was very kind and understanding, she moved us to a more spacious room for the rest of our stay for no extra cost and also allowed us to have drinks from our room bar that night after our incident. Unfortunately, an I phone on the bench close to where the ceiling tile dropped was damaged. I really appreciated the assistance and understanding I received from the receptionists Marian and Zizi who helped us through what could have been a very difficult situation. The care and attention from the hotel made our stay memorable but maintenance and safety issues have to be taken into account in future. But it was truly a boutique hotel from the personal care and concern and help that we received from the staff.

The hotel was very centrally located within walking distance of many restaurants, museums, shops and the railway station. Staff were extremely helpful, understanding and sympathetic to the rather complicated situation that we found ourselves in, when part of the ceiling in our room collapsed, more about it below. Breakfast had a great selection and there was the option to sit outside in the beautiful summer weather. Although the hotel was next to a park, our rooms were quiet and we slept well.

I was very surprised how compact the room was... No room for two suitcases on the floor at all and vey little storage as well. My husband kept his clothes in his suitcase packed and and zip closed, stood on its smallest surface I folded clothes and hung clothes in the wardrobe - there were qyuite a few hangers fortunately ...

The breakfast was excellent with so much choice and variety. The room itself was stunning! The location was excellent! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed out stay and the minute cute balcony

The location of the hotel is excellent - you can easily reach any of the most popular sightseeing spots in the town from it. The breakfast was really superb as were the premises where you are having it. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Nothing, I used to travel to Stockholm for work and stayed at Berns and it didn't disappoint.

There was a plumbing snafu on our first night, they promptly repaired it. We ate at the restaurant and then later ordered room service. Room service could use more variety by offering more items from main menu.

The belle epoche architecture was lovely to take in. The location is excellent and everything was walkable. Breakfast was delicious and fun to be served in such a grand setting.
