Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOnly one thing that would be an improvement would be helping guests understand how to get a table in the restaurant when it gets a bit busy, which wasn’t that often, guests arrive at the restaurant from all directions from their rooms, some wait to be seated, others just sit down , itcan cause a bit of a challenge to the waiters. Would suggest that guests are asked to wait for a member of the team to seat them. More of a suggestion that something we didn’t like 👍
The hotel blends in with the local village and is extremely well maintained, established planting and lovely restaurant and bar areas. The rooms are in separated areas again blending in and making it feel very natural. The rooms are modern, very well equipped and spacious. The owner, Robert, and his team were excellent and couldn’t do enough to make our stay great, from reception on arrival to security helping us with our bags for an early departure, they were alway friendly, interested in what we were doing, made us feel special. The food was buffet style and loads of choice, the local seafood was excellent, again the chef and staff were on hand to help and explain the dish, lots of knowledge , good omelettes in the mornings too. Drinks choice was good too, nice wine list, not silly prices. Overall 10/10, great location for trips tours, go to La Digue , the National Park, great beach and sea.

United KingdomThere is one small criticism I personally had. This was the toilet light switch. The hotel has blue lights for the toilet / shower which is great. However the switch to turn these on is linked to the vanity lights above the sinks (which is a white light). If you need the toilet during the night, you either need to find your way in the dark or turn on the light. This is so bright due to the vanity lights above the sink it ended up waking my partner. I would suggest for improvement to move the toilet blue light on to its own switch.
Everything. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like VIPs. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, attending to every detail with care. The level of hospitality we experienced was truly remarkable-from the warm welcome by Hilda to the personalised service throughout our stay.

BrazilThere was a specific day when we were eating a wrap at the Cafe das Artes restaurant located in the hotel and an employee asked us to leave the place where we were because he "needed to tidy up for other people". There was no one waiting and the restaurant was empty. We got the impression that it was because we were sharing the wrap due to the high cost of eating in Seychelles
1) dinner food is always delicious and varies every day 2) very tasty breakfast 3) rooms always clean and smelling good 4) always friendly staff at service 5) calm and relaxing pool 6) well-equipped gym 7) very comfortable bed 8) beach literally in front of the hotel 9) parking to stop the car

United KingdomThey have a beach bar that was playing loud dance music (with a very heavy beat) on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays until 11pm (the day we were leaving they were going to have a massive beach party until 1am). If you were hoping to enjoy the sound of the ocean from your balcony in the evening you could not hear anything apart from the beat and it can be quite intrusive. So just depends if loud dance music in the evening bothers you or not. Otherwise the hotel is perfect.
The hotel is beautiful and located right on the beach. The staff is very friendly and professional. Both dinners and breakfast were excellent - dinner different every day and delicious food

IsraelConsider adding labels to the buffet items, so that vegan, vegetarian, and allergy-sensitive guests can easily identify what they can eat.
Almost everything! The staff was lovely and helpful. As a vegan, I really enjoyed the vegan cake (I wish there were more options like this)!

United KingdomOur recent stay at Hotel Le Dec de Praslin was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warmth and professionalism from the management and staff, setting the tone for a luxurious experience. The oceanfront rooms were beautifully designed, spotless, and offered breathtaking views that made waking up each morning a dream. The dining experience was another highlight. The food was simply incredible, with a wide variety of options that catered to every taste. What stood out the most were the dinner buffets, which were never repetitive. Each night brought something new and exciting, showcasing the best of local and international cuisine. The staff’s politeness and attentiveness were remarkable. They were always on hand to assist with anything we needed, ensuring our comfort throughout the stay. A special mention goes to the hotel management, who were incredibly professional and engaged. The owner himself made it a point to speak with us during dinner almost every evening, adding a personal touch that made our stay feel even more special. What truly stood out, beyond the luxury, was the hotel’s commitment to sustainability. It was impressive to see how management prioritized eco-friendly practices both within the hotel and in the surrounding areas. They actively contribute to environmental efforts, including the clean-up of a local hiking trail on Praslin. This level of care and responsibility towards the island’s natural beauty made our stay not only luxurious but meaningful. We highly recommend Hotel Le Dec de Praslin to anyone looking for a blend of luxury, excellent service, incredible food, and eco-conscious hospitality.

SloveniaThe best hotel we ever stayed at (and we stayed at a lot of places, on luxurious destinations). You will definetely not be sorry if you book this hotel. Kind staff, great management. The food was delicious, good choices. The room was clean and one of the nicest rooms we've ever seen. They always try their best to make your holiday a great experience and pay a lot of attention to details - which make your stay at Le Duc simply perfect. The only thing I am sorry about is that we didn't stay more time here. The beach in front of the hotel is breathtaking, and the village where you can go to eat some lunch or go to the market is 5 min walk away.

IndiaWelcome Experience: From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Sabrina, the front desk staff, greeted us with a warm smile and a refreshing welcome drink. The check-in process was smooth. Accommodation: Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered a stunning balcony view of the lush nature. We loved the plush bedding and the thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and a personalized welcome note along with a complimentary bottle of Wine. Dining: The resort's dining options were exceptional. Each restaurant offered a unique culinary experience, from fresh seafood at the beachfront grill to gourmet international cuisine. The dining staff Julie, Mohammed, Gabriela went above and beyond to make our meals memorable. Café de Arts restaurant by the beach was our personal favorite. Our server, Stephanie was outstanding. She was attentive and welcoming. Personalized Attention: What truly set this resort apart was the personalized attention. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay enjoyable. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, often anticipating our needs before we even expressed them. RON, the front office Manger greeted us warmly and ensured our stay was perfect. However, what truly set this experience apart was the personal attention from the Owner, Mr. Robert Payet, who took the time to meet with us and ensure that everything was up to our expectations. Mr. Robert’s visit was unexpected but incredibly appreciated. He genuinely cared about our experience and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied. His commitment to guest satisfaction was evident, and it made us feel truly valued as guests. On Check out, we received a small gift and a Thank you note signed by him, which added a personal touch that we truly appreciated.

Just about everything about Le Duc de Praslin is exceptional. Stayed at the Villa 360 - a combination of opulence and elegance in resort stays! A magnificent 4 bedroom villa with a private pool, jacuzzi, a private gym and a car provided during the stay by the hotel. The villa is a 4 minute drive from the main property up the hill, but the car really helps. The Ocean bar was just gorgeous with unmatched views of the sea. A wonderful DJ night the day before we left the resort made it an awesome experience. We booked a half board through Booking.com and it was worth it, delicious offerings all along. The wonderful staff led by manager Hilda and her excellent team, Virginie at reservations, the restaurant staff especially Ravindra, Suganthan at the Villa 360 were fantastic. We were treated so well, this will be a memorable stay for our family. And Praslin, a wonderful island with its glorious beaches and beauty will always be a top place to go back to and without doubt, stay will need to be at Le Duc
