Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyThis is the first time I have stayed in a shared room abroad. At first I was worried but after meeting the owner of the hotel I got rid of all my worries. First of all the hotel is 7-8 minutes walking distance to Knezi Mihaylova Street and right across from the old bus station. Many buses and trains pass in front of it. Zack is the best host I have ever met. He is very kind, reliable and helpful. He makes you feel like you are in a family environment. You can sit with him and have fun chatting for hours. I will definitely visit him when I come back to Belgrade.

United KingdomThe bathrooms, although very clean, could be refurbished
Location - across the street from the bus station. Once inside, it’s very quiet, no noise from traffic. Short walk to city centre. The hostel is inside an old building, and the hotel itself exudes an old worldly charm. Zack, the man who manages the hostel is so lovely, and to be honest, it is him that makes this hostel special and different to the others. When you arrive, he will give you a map of the city and tell you all the best places to go. He is 100 times more informative than the lonely planet I brought with me!

United StatesThe shared bathroom could use a makeover. The building is old, and a bit run down, but Jasmin Hostel is cheery.
Zach is a great host. He's friendly, informative, and a nice guy. The rooms all have just a few beds, no bunks, no big dorm rooms. So it's cozy, and comfortable.

United KingdomPressing the bell had no answer.later found out not working. Another person let me in. Could have been better signs saying Jasmin hostel as walked past it couple times. Also the toilets showers in one room didn't expect that and like public toilets you can see and hear as underneath part is open so conscious to go toilet with others there. I booked a single room for my own so got a.c. if there was no a.c. then rooms be too hot as lounge area was next level hot. When I went to bed around 12 I found Zak in living room. When I woke up around 6am he was in living room sleeping. I found it odd he wasn't sleeping in a room and made me think does he have a room to sleep in or are they over working him? 🤔 I so him clean the showers after another guest used it. So it's clean. Not amazing clean but cleaner than most hostels and even three star hotels. Zak is a character a welcome addition.
Zak was lovely and charitable even if at times his over compliments were a bit much but I think that is his personality. His stories are interesting and he gives great tips to where to go see in city. He also showed me everything even though self explanatory I appreciated actually been physically shown.location is opposite bus station and on corner of property a supermarket open til around 10pm. complimentary tea coffee offered by hostel.

IndiaI have requested him 2 things: A. Repair the handles and locks of all the rooms. I have personally experienced and I have seen from others the trouble to open and close those doors. B. Without curtain on the window, comes sunlight early morning into the room.
My first word is about Mr. Zack. He was my brother and my friend. His explanation about Belgrade gave me a clear picture. Hotel was at the center of the city.

United KingdomThe blinds in our room didn't go all the way to the bottom. Which meant there was a lot of light coming in to our room in the mornings, so it was difficult to sleep past 6am and onwards.
The host was great. Very informative and helpful. Also extended our stay by a day which was very much appreciated. He also allowed us to have our bags stowed away even though we had already checked out which was amazing.

TurkeyThe hostel had somewhat dim lighting and there was a smell of humidity in the lobby. This smell wasn't present in the rooms. However, I still think that both the rooms and the lobby could be better ventilated.
The hostel is located in what can be considered the center of Belgrade. Getting to the hostel is very easy. There are places around where you can meet your needs such as markets, food, etc. At the same time, it is very close to places that must be visited such as churches, museums, etc. Additionally, Zak who took care of us and Jasmin, the owner of the hostel, are wonderful people. When they found out that my sister and I were going to stay together, they did everything they could to make us comfortable. The rooms, beds, and bathrooms were clean. They allowed us to use it like our own home. They were quick to help whenever there was a problem.
