Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyBathrooms could use some refurbishment. This is more than 3 stars than 4 star hotel. But the price was good so I can't complain.

United StatesIt’s very very loud with partying outside the lower floors. We were on the 5th floor and were not bothered as much as much as colleagues on lower floors. Our fridge didn’t work and they couldn’t replace it or fix it.
Centrally located in historic old town and nice hotel staff… Breakfast is good. There is a drugstore in the same building with snacks, cosmetics and general home products travelers might need. This was helpful. There’s a taxi stand right outside the door. Nice linens, comfortable bed, lovely view, a bathtub Upon leaving the hotel at 2:30 AM assisted us in calling a cab to the airport. The car and driver were good and the price was good.

United KingdomUnfortunately there's a bar opposite the hotel which plays very loud music on a Saturday night until 3am!! If you're room faces that direction there's no escaping it. I suspect that's the same on Friday night. It was quiet the rest of the time.
Friendly staff and the hotel is well maintained. The rooms are spacious and clean with modern facilities. Great location in terms of being walking distance to eateries, historic sites and shopping.

United KingdomThe only downside is the bar opposite the hotel. The music from the bar is so loud that you can still hear it through closed windows and while wearing earplugs (which the hotel provides). Even though it says online that the bar closes at 2am, some nights it was going on until 4.30am. It's a real shame because the bar seemed to be completely empty 24/7 so I'm not sure what the need is for the stupidly loud music.
The staff were excellent, very friendly and very accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable.

United KingdomNot keen on the breakfast. Scrambled eggs were tasteless and bacon was very oily. Not a great choice of fruit and cheap bread. Limited choices on coffee machine - had to separately request decaff coffee and this took a long time to arrive as the staff were busy.
Great location with easy access to everything

United KingdomRooms that look out onto the front of the building can be noisy due to a bar on the other side playing music - best to get a room at the back of the building where you can't hear it.
The hotel is well located in the centre. The breakfast is good, with eggs, bacon, mushrooms, hashbrowns, cerials, fruit etc. The bed is comfy and the room has a safe and fridge. Staff are friendly and helpful.

CanadaRight under our room window there was a bar that played really loud music until 4 am and people loud talking -was horrible. We called reception and were told "this is the old town, we can't do anything" - still, the staff was very polite and nice, all they could do was to offer ear plugs and to switch our room to another on the opposite side of the hotel but only next night. So make sure your room faces the river side NOT the side with the entrance to the hotel (bar and loud music side).
Great location, very clean, awesome property!

United Kingdomunfortunately our room overlooked the bar accross the street and even with window closed ghe thump of the grunge music went on till 3am. I'm sure had we mentioned it we could have changed rooms to a quieter internal room overlooking the foyer but we decided to stay as our room had a small balcony which overlooked the city. You just need to balance up what's important.
The location is perfect, right in the heart of Old towns historical points of interest , restaurants and cafes. The staff were absolutely wonderful. so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. especially Carmella on reception who is an absolute star. The rooms were clean, with everything you needed. Cleaned daily with Fresh towels, toiletries, tea and coffee. Breakfast in the morning was lovely with a great choice of continental, fresh fruit and cooked items although the cooked breakfast was often a bit cold. Highly recommend doing a 2 to 3 hour walking tour of the city to get your bearings and learn more of Bucharests interesting past. Ours started just outside our hotel at the Hanu Lu Manug inn/ restaurant which you must visit. Also a day trip to Bran castle and Brasov are well worth it but it it is a long journey and only cost £13 plus entry to the castle.

CanadaSince the hotel is at a corner, the main entrance is actually on the "side street" next to the hotel restaurant, and not facing the river. With a small sign I walked by a couple of times and could not find the entrance. I did not know that taxis cannot drive into the side street. Since it is a larget hotel breakfast may be busy. The hotel should have small tables (for two) that can be pushed together as a table for four. As of now there were many couple and singke people taking a table for four so at times it might be difficult to find a table. Staff can be more "attentive'. What I meant was that I needed to see a doctor and the staff suggested a clinic and called a cab for me. When I returned to the hotel the same staff did not acknowledge me. In a great hotel the staff could have asked how I was doing.
The location is good right by Old Town. So it is within walking distance to many restaurants and cafes. The buffet breakfast is ok, with hot food, pastries, fresh fruits and cereal. Certainly enough.
