“The room was modern and there was a kettle and microwave on the bottom floor. Great mountain view from the balcony. It would be a great hotel in the winter when there is no construction work and the temperature is not hot.”

“Very conveniently located a few mins walk from train station, we arrived the first day the hotel re-opened for the summer season. Front desk staff are exceptionally helpful, in particular Philip who recommended that the gondola up to Matterhorn despite webcam showing overcast. It was not too crowded (would not be to do it in high season with huge crowds) and the views were stunning as the clouds disappeared on our way up and area at the top with ice cave & ice sculptures very much worth a wander. Returned to immaculate spacious junior suite which was exactly as depicted and very much appreciated after stay at another Zermatt hotel which was dire. Made use of beautiful spa & pool, both immaculate and huge. Dinner was very good as was breakfast. Bar staff exceptionally friendly and helpful like front desk with extensive bar and excellent cocktails.
On the way to Zermatt from Lauterbrunnen, we left a small backpack with new hiking poles bought in Zurich on a train (had three train changes). We filed a report with lost & found, hopeful it would be turned in. Three weeks later the backpack turned up and was sent to Zermatt as that's what we had requested. We were able to organize DHL to ship it home to us but need the backpack packaged. My husband spoke to Philip at hotel on the phone and the hotel got our backpack from the train station, packaged it for us, DHL picked it up from the hotel and we got it four days later with everything intact, even the cookies given to us by hotel in Bern (which were incredibly delicious).”
