  • “Didn't have breakfast. Soon after reservation, we got email of what "NOT" to expect.”

  • “Breakfast selection and quality was average but adequate. Staff did not keep up with guest consumption. Half way thru the allotted breakfast time and the eggs were almost gone, meat and fruit trays were empty. Asked the server and she “shrugged.””

  • Chief Motel Review score: 10

“Great location. So many places to go within walking distance. Late afternoon/early evening you would just see people walking around town. Everything was local to town, no fast-food chains which gave you a chance to experience mom and pop shops. The pool was bigger than most hotel pools, with the hot tub and sauna it made for a very relaxing time with the family.”

  • “Near Mt Rushmore”

  • “Good location, no breakfast provided”

  • “Regrettably I found the main receptionist somewhat sullen and unhelpful. The Sunday receptionist was friendly and helful”

  • “Good stay, easy check in and check out. I appreciated the EV charger!”

  • Eagle’s Landing Lodge Review score: 10

“We were with two couples in the Eagles Landing lodge for 3 nights. We met with Deb and her daughter and they were extremely helpful to us and we felt very welcome. The lodge and the rooms have been very tastefully decorated, it has a lot of facilities ( fully equiped kitchen, games room with a pool table) and it all worked fine. We enjoyed our stay very much and we would absolutely recommend it. Warmest regards, Bert & Adriana and Maarten & Monique”
