“My wife and I had the best time at Taypikala. It’s fair to say it’s been one of our best hotel experiences ever actually.
The reception team is great and there’s plenty of attention to every single detail. The restaurant team was also super lovely, and they were always checking on us during breakfast or dinner. Moises in particular gave us great recommendations for places to go and made us feel very special in every occasion.
Recommendation for future travellers: do factor in some time to relax and spend time at the hotel. The hotel grounds are amazing, and there are plenty of places to rest and relax. Hammocks by the river, the indoor heated pool, spending time with the alpacas and llamas. We just loved it all.

“Above the rooms is a dome where you can sit and look at the stars. The domes are very high up and has great views of the mountains and the valley below.
Dinner is a set three course Peruvian meal which was very tasty.

“This hotel is has the most amazing architecture! You feel like you have stepped into the set of Alice in Wonderland. There are plenty of places to sit and relax or read. We felt that they hotel was in a very good location because you can easily get a taxi to the center of town (costs is minimal - less than $4). We really liked being away from the center of town.... nice and quite. You can also easily schedule tours to amazing cities like Pisac and Ollantaytambo right from this hotel.
What sets this hotel apart however is the outstanding service. I have never received such amazing service like what was provided at Wifala. Frida and Rosa went out of the way to secure everything I needed even before I arrived at the hotel. Any questions were answered promptly. They arranged for our taxi transport from the Cusco airport and all of my tours. They have a list of excellent taxis and tour guides. We were especially pleased with all of the tours that were provided by Álvaro. He took us to all of the places we wanted to see. He was so knowledgeable and made every trip a wonderful adventure! Be sure to ask for him!
The breakfast and dinner options were excellent. Maria and Josefina were our servers and they were so attentive. Rosita did a great job fixing delicious meals. The entire staff is wonderful!!! (Please note that they will ask you what time you want each meal and that they stop serving dinner after 8:30)
Please note: You are able to have them do your laundry for a very reasonable fee. Their services are excellent!
