“Did a late change to a room with a view of Lake and Mountain and glad we did. The best view ever as a sunny day and with seating area to enjoy it. Room was large and the beds very comfortable. Charming hotel a step back in time with wonderful staircase and timber work. It is a steep climb to the hotel we had carry on only so not an issue to walk up from train station as we are fit enough but if you have suitcases you will need a taxi or arrange shuttle from hotel.”
“Location is a stones throw away from the train station. A welcomed plus point after hours of travelling to get there. The hospitality was on point from start to finish.
The room was beautiful with a beautiful view of the mountains and lake. The rooms amenities catered for everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Little treats in the room were exceptional from the dehydrated Swiss apple snacks to the Swiss version of soft drinks in the mini bar with a lovely dessert treat in a box. We had an early dinner from the bar menu and it didn't disappoint. The food and drink were exceptional.
The breakfast had attention to detail aesthetically as well as flavour it was superb. Would have loved to have them catering halal so we could also enjoy the meat options on the menu too.
The spas was lovely, although we didn't have treatments. The use of the other facilities had u
s revitalised beautifully for a fast pace last couple of days we had planned ahead of us over the next couple of days for the reminder of our trip.
They have a pillow menu! Who has a pillow menu ? Attention to detail was the phernominal to help us maximise our stay in comfort, and the staff could do enough to cater to our needs.
We are looking forward to visiting again in the winter season as we can only imagine how beautiful it will be then with the snow filled landscape and frozen lake.

“Lovely hotel, exactly the way you picture a nice European hotel. Lots of wood, large windows with alpine views, carpets and nice staff.
Check in was very smooth. Room was really nice and very clean. Had all the amenities. The shower had water spray both horizontally and vertically which was great! An unexpected massage.
The breakfast was really good and the staff very attentive too.”
“The area was really quiet, and kind of hard to get to, because we needed to take the bus from the main station. There isn't a lot around there, other than a few grocery stores and restaurants, and is fairly far from the "main town." The breakfast was good. I wish they had told us a little earlier that we could order pancake and omlettes but we found out and they were delicious! The spa was relaxing, and they provide towels and slippers to use.”
