“The hotel was definitely the best experience of my trip to Ito! We stayed on the 8th floor, and the room was huge with a sea view that exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was amazing; we stayed for two nights and were served different food each day. Highly recommend, and would love to come back again!”
“Good standard clean Comfort Hotel. Basically setup for Japanese businessmen. If you are a couple travelling make sure you get a twin room which is larger than the double and has just sufficient room to fit two moderate bags.”
“To start with, the room was really big, with a nice (limited) seaside view, and the public onsen was as you should expect from a proper Japanese onsen hotel. Private onsens available, alongside a scenic cave, and the usual entertainment you would find in a ryokan or similar. Free parking and free WiFi, plus decent breakfast, and impeccable service from staff. All at a very sensible price.”
“Generally speaking a genuinely great experience, with the location right in the centre of amazing Numazu, and if you are lucky you get a stunning view of either the ocean or Mt Fuji from your room. There are plenty of additional facilities available (but not an onsen bath, mind you) should you be interested, and the town of Numazu itself is something of a hidden gem that I can strongly recommend (it has the longest beach in all of Japan - walking distance from the hotel - from which you can see the sun set over Mt Fuji on a not-too-rainy day, which is an amazing view; plus a very cosy old market street - right next to the hotel, I might add). Parking is also available in the basement at a reasonable price. It seems they have also recently renovated the interior of the rooms, which used to be ever so slightly shabby (but not anymore). Breakfast buffet also worth the cost.”
“Free parking. large area for stopping my car in front of the hotel entrance for dropping and picking up my family and luggage. close to city centre. room is spacious (compare to typical budget hotel in Japan).”
“The owners are amazing people. Extremely courteous and kind (good English was a very pleasant surprise). They have great knowledge of the area and are eager to help. They really go above and beyond to make it easier for tourists and provide a listing for: restaurants, coffee shops, bars, onsen, surf spots, bike trails...they even helped us finding a gym for a rainy day.
The guesthouse is located just a little bit outside of Shimoda Centre, at a 20 minutes walk from the Station and 2 minutes from the beach.
You will be offered free bikes rental, usage of kitchen and common areas (all spotless and kept tidy).
The room is small and if you big luggage it may be challenging to fit. The shower is amazing.
All in really amazing value for money.”
