  • The Wheatsheaf Inn Review score: 8

“This is a beautiful old 17th century pub built into the old city wall adjacent to the only remaining city gate. A short walk up the most attractive street, lined with privately owned Georgian houses took us to the main square on Castle. The owner was a very welcoming cheerful lady who happily told us about the history of the place. She and her partner served a very good breakfast in the bar area.”
