Bedroom was a little tired and needed updating, chip paper on walls and so much furniture that was not needed. 08:00-08:45 breakfast was way too early for a weekend, with a knock on the door telling us we had 5 minutes to go for breakfast ! We often stay in Pubs on our travels this was exceptionally noisy (Bedroom 4)

Great location. Staff friendly. Free parking down the road - 2 minute walk.

Room was a little tired, and I think the cooking smells from the kitchen were coming through the vents/somewhere, as it smelt of cooking which was a little unpleasant. Having said that, it was good value for what I paid.

Great location, staff very friendly, good value for money

It can get busy as when we arrived it was lunchtime. The food is lovely there. Unfortunately it meant check in was very rushed. It also meant the fact I had room only wasn’t pointed out. When coming down for breakfast at 8am we were told we didn’t have breakfast and couldn’t have it as we have had to say the day before. It would have been better if we could have been offered even a coffee and toast.

Location is great and the building is old and really interesting. Lovely pub downstairs.

Nothing really, it's not a luxury hotel, which I didn't expect either, simple but clean and comfortable.

Great location, lovely old inn/pub. Beds really comfortable, room size good. They serve great food, had dinner there once and it was delicious. Didn't have breakfast as that was £30/morning extra with booking.com, but plenty of cafes nearby for breakfast options.

    Nothing really

Really nice staff and had a good interaction with them before arriving. They informed us that they were not doing food that night as had a private party and let us know in advance so we could make alternative arrangements. Good price, very clean and a quirky location.

Heating was a bit ott:-) solved by turning off radiator and opening window as much as possible but it was very warm, this is my personal view and some may love a very warm room!

Lovely room, very clean. Didn't have much contact with staff but that's because I was in and out multiple times a day due to the nature of my trip. When I did need to speak to someone everybody was very friendly and helpful

Room was a bit cramped, with narrow stairs, but only to be expected from such an old, traditional building, so not a complaint as such.

Very cheerful, helpful staff. Good cooked breakfasts.

The only negative was the noisy sound of the extract fans in adjoining room en-suites.

Location great in the centre of Kirkby Lonsdale on the Main Street. No parking but pay parking nearby. Very comfortable rooms, with ample supply of tea, coffee etc. Warm, well furnished room. Ideal for a cold spring break. Spotless en-suite with excellent shower pressure and rainfall shower head. Quality furnishing thought out with a welcoming open fire in the bar area. Breakfast menu small but tasty.

not much - if I was being picky, the shower was not 100% clean and a bit smelly. It looked like it had been fitted for many years and perhaps in need of updating / replacing

the breakfast was outstanding and something to look forward to each morning, The rooms were dated but clean and warm with comfortable beds. Ideal for the three of us who had arranged a weekend walking from Ludlow

The bedroom was rather cramped. One small stool for a couple! The bathroom had no surfaces to put a washbag, toiletries, etc, or even a towel rail. This is a common omission in some hotels, unfortunately. Sunday evening there was no food, so had to go out and take our business elsewhere. Pity, as we understood the lunch menu was great.

Staff friendly and helpful. A major plus! Advice on where to park overnight without charge. Comfortable bed. Large and soft towels. Tea, coffee and snacks in the bedroom. Decent-sized TV. A good bar with real ales. A very quiet area so a good night's sleep.

Had to leave the key when out on the eve and were asked to be back by 11.15pm. A Saturday morning check out by 10am seemed a little harsh for the weekend.

Great location in town . Warm welcome . Character pub and overall excellent value for the price .
