  • Hostal Gran Jade Review score: 10

“I had an awesome stay at the Gran Jade, the staff is super nice and help me a lot to organise my visit of the island, from knowing what I could do, and organising for me at the best price the motorbike rental, the kitchen is basic but totally suffisant”

  • Tapihouse San Juan Del Sur Review score: 10

“Absolutely everything was perfect! We had such a wonderful stay at Tapihouse. Rafa was an exceptional host, the rooms were clean and comfortable, it was quiet enough to get some rest, but close to everything, and the BREAKFAST! Best breakfast I've had in Central America so far. Incredible value for money. I miss this place already!”

  • Hostal Eden Review score: 10

“The owner - Rosa is such a cheerful and lovely person, she will try her best to help you with what you need The place is clean, and well located - close to restaurants and supermarket”

  • Casa Esmeralda Review score: 8

“There's really no competition to this price for people who would prefer a private room. The downsides were the bathroom is is always a bit running so it's always a bit wet around. The commun area was not located considering the wind direction which could very important. Until you're getting friendly with the owners its kind of weird because you really have to leave around them (staying in the room is not an option after 8, hot). Other than that, it's a really nice place, close to everything, cheap, well taken care of (Nicaraguan measures) and they let me fo my own laundry for free. Big adventage.”

  • Casa Papaki Review score: 9

“Teresa was absolutely lovely—an excellent host. Our room was very clean and the bed was large and comfy. Teresa was also an excellent cook we really enjoyed her pasta dish! We accidentally broke one of the tiles in the bathroom during our stay and Teresa was really understanding and we really appreciated that. The wifi was also very reliable.”

  • Guest House Nena Review score: 10

“Lovely family run property with breakfast available if you want. Maybe 1 block from the main road. I stayed in the dorm which I had to myself apart from 1 night - has a fan which is great and a private bathroom. This is a Guest House not a hostel so I had to ask for hot water for my tea but it wasn’t a problem. I had the most contact with Narcy who kept me from being incredibly ripped off for an island tour….I did it with her and it was a great day! Narcy also has a beauty salon at the front and I got my nails done for only 200 cordobas :)”

  • El Peregrino Review score: 8

“Super friendly staff, very helpful with arranging mopeds delivered direct to the hostel, comfortable beds. Amazing view of the volcano. They also very kindly looked after our bags for a couple of days when we explored the rest other half of the island.”
