“Haus Bellevue is hands down my favourite among the four places in Austria that we (a quintet of family members) stayed in during this week-long trip. To begin with, Obertraun is a picturesque, tranquil village. It was so calming to be there. Haus Bellevue has an excellent location in that lovely village. If you arrive on a train like we did, you just need to amble across from the railway station. And the bus stop is nearby, making it easy for us to visit the neighbouring village of Hallstatt.
Our two-room apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. It was easy to feel at home there.
Andrea, our host, was responsive, flexible and welcoming. If you have the chance, chat with her about Obertraun and Haus Bellevue, which her family has been running for many years.
We came to this part of Austria specifically to see what Hallstatt is all about, but my wife and I are actually most fond of our time at Obertraun and Haus Bellevue.”
“Very friendly owner Alessio and his staff (Claudia, hope my spelling is right)! We enjoyed our stay very much. They prepared nice breakfast and we especally enjoyed Croissant which is from the bakery in the city center! Magnificant view from the terrace!”
“Apartment 3rd Floor 213 is a revelation. living room with kitchen, lockable bedroom ;) and a large terrace. A great idea was free bicycles - there were probably 20 of them. You could ride longer and shorter routes around the beautiful town. Underground parking and lift are brilliant. positive is a general common place on the ground floor to drink coffee, read, a separate corner for children, a changing table, a designer gym with a glass wall - you can do something there ;). A small minus is the lack of air conditioning. but with the high temperature outside it was quite good inside.”
“Very pleasant stay with easy communication via the booking.com chat with the owners. The owners were very helpful in case you needed something. The apartment was very nice and spacious. The location is great as you can walk to all major tourist sites.”
