  • Maria Mulata Boutique Hotel Review score: 10

“The hotel is lovely, literally one minute away from the museum, the park and the sea, right in the old town in an old.building. The room was clean and very comfortable, and the common area is great and has a well-kept small pool to escape the heat. The host was super helpful and friendly, too!”

  • “Great location, comfortable and big room, very good air conditioning, clean bathroom with hot water (not common in Colombia!), pleasant terrace”

  • “This is a perfect place to stay in Tayrona if you don’t mind the long trek to the beach every day and you want to save money on the park entrance fee by only entering once. It was easy to get a minibus outside the accommodation that brings you to the trailheads for the various routes in the park. Our room was simple but all we needed to spend 2 comfortable nights. There is no AC but we had a fan which helped a lot with the heat. The staff were great and so friendly. And the food was excellent! We enjoyed our breakfast and really looked forward to the delicious dinners each evening which were very reasonably priced. The grounds of the accommodation are also lovely - you feel completely immersed in the nature around you. Would certainly recommend Jasayma to anyone!”

  • “Comfortable room with mosquito nets on the windows, clean bathroom (only cold water, but during hot weather it's no problem (I was there in June)). Cool pool! The entire resort and surrounding area is beautiful! right by the sea and close to main hiking trails (approx. 2 km). A wide selection of dishes, including vegetarian and vegan options, delicious juices (try the lulo juice 💖). Nice staff (but only 1 person - very nice Alejandro 💖💖💖 speaks fluent English). Wonderful place! keep in mind that there is no electricity for several hours during the day (there is electricity in the morning, late afternoon and at night)”

“Beautiful and natural quiet garden with eco-huts. The Staff were wonderful, the breakfast was very good and they were happy to supply things that were not on the menu. At the waterfront there is a communal space so everyone can enjoy the beach view! Señor Gustavo and Señora Adelina looked after us when we were alone on the premises <3”

“Probably the best place I've stayed in South America, amazing value for money. As soon as we arrived we immediately booked an extra night. A completely private cabin in the jungle with unbelievable views, massive comfy bed with a good mosquito net so you have no insects when sleeping. Fridge/ freezer, fan, huge balcony with 2 hammocks, a net over the jungle too. Johanna the owner was so nice, welcoming and helpful, she had created a little map to show all the nearby things to do, including local tips like how to get to Los naranjos beach without staying in one of the hotels there, also shops / restaurants, etc.. you could contact her anytime via WhatsApp and she would get straight back to you. She helped us order food from a local restaurant and organised the delivery, paid in cash (as we stupidly didn't bring enough) and hand delivered the food to our cabin. We then paid her along with the room with card. She has the nicest dogs & cats too. Breakfast was delicious and different every morning, when we arrived we could request a time for breakfast which was really nice. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day, all insects where removed, because of this and the mosquito net, the insect situation really wasn't too bad for being in the middle of the jungle. I would 100% come back here.”
