The perfect accommodation to spend time relaxing with lovely rooms and pool/ outdoor spaces to enjoy. Our room was very generous in size and had great facilities. We didn't find any noise during the nights which made sleeping very easy. The staff were always very kind and helpful.

Purely a preference, there were two of us and only one card for the room. Not a huge issue but sometimes it’s good to have two cards just incase.

HOT shower, bed was so comfortable and they had a comforter to use also (as a lot of places in the area have just a top sheet due to humidity). The kitchen space was great, the mini bar was reasonably priced, and the pool areas were perfect. The entire property was squeaky clean.

The hotel is from a short walk from the city center, there are many restaurants and shops nearby. Apartments are spacious and comfortable. Staff was very nice.

We absolutely loved this place! Quiet, private, spacious, comfortable, safe, clean and with excellent staff! We had a huge suite on the top floor next to a lovely little pool. Comfortable bed and one of the best showers I've had in my travels. 2 pools and lovely views from the rooftop. Marco and Indira were especially lovely and helpful. It really is the place to stay in old town of Santa Marta! Close to everything, but on a quiet street. Highly recommended and we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Only one thing. The room has blackout curtains which is amazing but there is a skylight next to the bed that shines artificial light in from 2nd floor. Kinda pointless to have all those blackout curtains. This isn’t in all rooms but it would be great to block that too.

Perfect location in the centre. Close but far enough from the chaos. Very comfortable and homely. Very very reasonably priced for what you get. I would stay there again 1000%. Bed was so comfortable too. A great great find!

Although there is no restaurant there are plenty of cafés around for breakfast. A kettle would have been a helpful addition.

Although the centre of Santa Marta is incredibly noisy at night, these apartments are in a very quiet area just 5 mins walk from the centre. We stayed just one night and found the apartment to be peaceful and quiet. The apartment was spacious and the bed very comfortable. There was a fridge, microwave coffee machine etc. Also a safe. The air conditioning was really efficient. The shower was probably the best we had in a month in Colombia. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend these apartments rather than staying out of town which we had done a week earlier.

We didn't like that we couldn't have breakfast (although we went out and bought provisions to cook breakfast in the room). All the reviews spoke about how great the breakfast was. Upon arrival we were informed that you do not have meals anymore.

We liked the location. It was far away enough from all the action and noise but close enough for us to get to when needed. We also enjoyed the pools. The water was perfect!

My only con to this experience was the street the hotel is on. The street is fine during the day, but feels a bit unsafe at night.

This hotel was great. The room was larger than we expected and very clean. The staff was very friendly and even gave us some great recommendations! There was no noise at night and AC was very strong.

The employees that work at the hotel are very welcoming and kind. They allowed us to leave our bags and walk around the city before checking in. The rooms were clean and very large. The hotel is in a great location, only a ten minute walk to town where you can find dozens of restaurants.

The location is not bad but it's not great either. It's compromise.

Facilities, quietness, cleanliness. Staff was very kind and attentive. Carlos, Indira and Maria are simply fantastic at what they do. The cleaning ladies were super attentive. Very respectful. I would definitely go back and I strongly recommend it.

Having to pay 6000COP per coffee in the room for the capsule machine (couldn’t find capsules in any supermarket nearby) Kitchen had basics but could have more crockery and had to ask to borrow salt and pepper which we thought should be standard in a suite with a kitchen. Also the Presidential Suite terrace was completely covered and does not get sunlight. All minor things but would have made the stay perfect!

The room was fantastic with so much space and it was very clean. Rooftop area for sunbathing and the small pool was very enjoyable. Location very central

We loved the place and would definitely go again. I read one of the other reviews about noise at night. That was not an issue for us, but maybe that depends on the room location. Perhaps you can say the pools (there are 2) are a bit small, but they are nice enough for a quick dip and watching the sunset from the pool!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cactus! The location is perfect: exactly in the downtown but not in the busy, more noisy area with bars and restaurants (but just a few min walking distance). The rooftop patio for breakfast or seeing the sun set over Santa Marta is lovely, the staff are super friendly and attentive, and the rooms are large and beautiful. (We had the suites). We also were able to store our luggage at the hotel for 3 nights while hiking the ciudad perdida hike (with Wiwa tours, who I recommend and have their starting point nearby).
