“We stayed at the Kona Tiki Hotel for four nights in September 2024. We really liked our room on the top floor with a small balcony and a fantastic sea view. The room was large, the beds comfortable and there was a small kitchen with a kettle, coffee maker, toaster, electric frying pan, sink, microwave and a fridge. This was completely sufficient for preparing a small breakfast. When you book the hotel, you know that there is no TV and no air conditioning. That's why I don't understand the 'complaints' that you can read in some places. We didn't miss the TV because we enjoyed the surf and the sunsets by the pool. We didn't need air conditioning in September either. The nice ceiling fan and an additional standing fan (which we didn't even need) were completely sufficient. The management and staff were very nice and always available for recommendations. We would stay here again.”
“The help from vacasa after being locked out of condo 147 for 3 1/2 hours was too little to late after the combination lock ceased to work. The staff either refused to help or passed it off to Kona Islander Inn staff to help out. Kona Islander staff were the ones who were willing to help me get into the condo. It was a very frustrating and hopeless situation to have to experience the last day of my stay.”
“The room was very spacious and had a large balcony. The pools were large and there is an over 21 pool away from the (loud) kids. Food at the restaurant for dinner was delicious, but the breakfast buffet quality was a bit disappointing.”
“Great location in a calm area a bit outside the city but remaining at walking distance (Even though having a car is highly recommended). I travelled there for the Ironman and being on the course and at walking distance of everything made it very practical for me and my support crew! Staff was also very friendly and helpful!
I would definitely book here again if I ever come back to Kona!”
