“Clean room, bathrooms and showers clean”
“The room was very good. We did not stay for breakfast as we had a long way to to our next stop.”
“Lovely accomodation in a great mountain chalet. The property had nice common areas with a sitting room which we relaxed in. Free car parking on site was available. There is a lift for upper rooms.
Our room was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable with nice doonas.
The bathroom was a good size and nicely tiled, with a shower and good hot water.
Communication by the host, Linn, was excellent and we were able to check in a little early.
The location in the little village of Malbun is just fabulous. So pretty and so quiet. Dinner at the nearby restaurant, Vogeli, was very good.
We would definitely recommend staying at this accommodation.”
“We had a great stay! The hotel is modern and offers super convenient self check-in and check-out. Our room was spacious and had an amazing view of the lake.
We enjoyed using the sauna, especially since we had it all to ourselves—perfect for a rainy day. Breakfast was good too. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable experience!”
“Traditional, wooden-panelling throughout, hotel near the centre of the (not very big) town. About 10 mins walk from the station and 15 mins walk from the lake. Walenstadt itself has a spectacular setting, surrounded by impressive mountains rising vertically all around, and a beautiful large and deep (so cold) lake. There's a good Italian restaurant (where we ate), a traditional Swiss restaurant and a beer hall (not open when we were in town) very near the hotel (< 50m). Our room (normal double) was spacious with good views; our daughters' room (a budget double) more compact, with sloping ceilings, on the top floor. So ask for a room NOT on the top floor. Everything was spotlessly clean and the showers in both rooms had good pressure. The continental breakfast was provided to match our group size (i.e. not an ad libitum buffet) but certainly very adequate, with fruit (delicious cherries and raspberries), yoghourts, croissants, bread, cheese, ham, and coffee/tea/hot-chocolate made to order.”
