The Hotel is very very nice! It was renovated some years ago and it just looks incredible, cosy! The location is good, you can take a tram to St Gallen easily.

Outdtsnding hotel in the Appenzello 5 minutes from the Sankt Gallen center. Beautifull wood parfum in the rooms, and a fantastic breakfast with the best bircher muesli sofar.

There is absolutely nothing I can think of to criticize .

Beautiful design and decor, I had the blue room on the corner as seen in the photos. It was immaculate. The breakfast was lovely. The staff were very kind and professional. I liked it so much that I stayed a second night. A very well-run hotel. Also it was extremely convenient to St Gallen ( less than 10 min) but gave the feeling of being in the country. Perfect for a stay in the Appenzell region. Speicher is a charming little town in the countryside.

Nothing to do with the property but if you’re driving into St Gallen from the hotel, there is a speed camera down hill. So if your not paying attention to your speed even though your not accelerating, you may get captured and fined.

The property had a lovely and interesting interior. The rooms were clean and facilities well maintained. The staff were very helpful and nice. Rooms were quiet and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was lovely especially with their homemade jams.

The rooms have very low ceiling, but this is historical building and therefore it is not a complain. It is a way how houses were built in Appenzell region. Just for very tall people - watch your head.

Everything was excellent - the room, restaurant, service itself. We booked in the very last minute before our stay, but it was our best place where we stayed in the Switzerland. Highly recomended.

It’s a bit out of the way from the nearest town (St Gallen) especially when our stay was on a Sunday and nothing was opened in this smaller town. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m visiting on a weekday!

The room is clean, spacious and beautiful! The cow soft toy is also a nice touch to welcome us into the room. Appreciate the spacious lifts that enabled us to move our luggage easily. I’ve also learnt a bit of history of this house/boutique hotel and found it really cool and updated for guests to stay in. This is much better than other historical buildings we’ve stayed in earlier.

The bed was not large enough and the pillows were too thin to have comfortable sleep. Otherwise, there is nothing much to complain about. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I am back in that part of Switzerland

The hotel building is a nicely renovated old mansion. It is clean and silent although the hotel is on the main road (not a busy one). A beautiful stay for anyone looking for some peaceful time in a Swiss German village. It is very close to the train station and the city of St.Gallen is only 10-min drive away
