Adults only hotel, very clean and spa facilities were excellent. We ate two nights at the buffet, good choice and value for money. Entertainment each night in the main bar.

Nothing we did not like about this place

Great location near enough to the town center and with on-premises parking. If you are renting a car, the convenience of parking on site cannot be beat and it is only 6 minutes drive to waterfront of Funchal and about a 15-20 minute walk. The staff was exceptional in every way. The morning breakfast buffet excellent with great variety. Our room was comfortable with a great view of the bay and the city, matched perfectly the description in our booking. Our airline moved our flight a day late and within minutes of messaging the property our booking was revised to reflect our new stay dates. Upon arrival the staff was extra kind and went out of their way to ease our stress from the delayed travel. The hotel pool, restaurants, and cocktail bars are also great amenities when you just want to stay in and relax. A late night menu we took advantage of when we came back too late for dinner from exploring Madeira. We did not use the spa but heard great things from guests who did. I cannot say enough about how pleased we were with our stay and the value we received.

Lots of different elevators to get you to the right floor. From the rooms to the wellness you will need to take 3 elevators if you step in the main elevator. Kind of confusing at first.

beautiful property with very stunning views. the only downside that was minor was just the location was a bit of a walk to the center of the city.. approx 20 mins or so. We didn't mind the walk so much but if you are making multiple trips back and forth from the hotel and to the city center by foot it could be tiring- ofcoruse there is always the option to just uber as well. Overall, the property and everything about it was absolutely stunning and it exceeded our expectations.

Loved the view from our room, the bottle of Madeira wine and candy, and the general ambience of the hotel! Staff were very helpful regarding recommendations for nearby restaurants and activities.

In the gym you are obliged to use towels (which make total sense) but there are no towels available. These should be available for free at the gym. At the parking lot there is no traffic light for entrance/exit of the cars - with the low visibility from the sun and the inclination of the exit/entrance, it is dangerous. There is a fee to enter the spa of 5 Eur/person per day. This should be free for the guests.

The best of the best.... The VIEW! Eating breakfast at the window looking at the views of the mountains, pool and ocean all in once it is absolutely amazing! Very nice hotel, very friendly personal, delicious breakfast with a lot of variety and local products, great area at the pool, live music almost every night! Perfect! One thing I found outstanding is the possibility of having breakfast before the breakfast time! This makes this hotel completely standing out from others - very well done! We've booked breakfast once at 4.30am to go hiking and another day at 6am to leave to the airport. The location is good if you like to walk - but let the high heels at home :). It is abut 20 min walking to Avenida do Mar and to the center. But within 10/15 min walking on the opposite direction, you find very nice local restaurants.

Small problem with cleaning/refund policy, I stayed 8 nights, and the first 3 days didn't get the room cleaned once even the second day I informed the reception that I want my room to be cleaned daily. In the end we fixed this problem.

One of the best views in Funchal. Friendly staff and the food and drink I had was all of a very high standard, fresh and always varied. I had breakfast included but I ate some lunches at the pool bar which is fabulous. The room was fantastic with a beautiful view, I booked massages and enjoyed the spa facilities and the pool. Cocktail bar was great. I'll see you in December!

Reception was chaos, there were always 3-4 guests talking over the others at the same time; reception staff didn't seem to be able to maintain order and some of them didn't speak English very well, which we found strange for this hotel. Bed was springy, any move you made would shake the whole bed; mattress was too soft for us. We also had a hard leather couch in the room, more for decor I assume, because it's very uncomfortable to actually relax on it. After breakfast (~11:00), when the cleaning started, there was a lot of noise on the entire floor. Hotel is at around 1km walking from central area and restaurants, when you return you have to walk some steep streets which is not really pleasant in heat and sun; but you can also get a taxi.

Nice, large room (we had the deluxe double room), nice view from 10th floor; nice bathroom with awesome large walk-in shower; we even had a small balcony. Large parking (there is outdoor one and 2 covered ones), we always found a space. Nice restaurant, plenty of options at buffet, nice views from the tables - with deluxe room you have some reserved, better positioned tables at breakfast; you also have included a breakfast menu, but we found the options too small and simple. Restaurant staff were very helpful to find us vegan options, even adapted some dishes and suggested some other ideas - we really appreciated that!

Sauna miss all necessities to work properly. Parking rather full, but we always managed to park our car somewhere.

The lady who cleans the room does not do it properly: floors were dirty after cleaning, towels were not always changed. We were staying 6 days and just once the room was cleaned. We asked 2 times as the hotel is ecological, but they forgot and no one came to clean, just after a call to reception. Things were given to laundry for cleaning, but white shirts became yellowish. Juices and coffee the ones that are suggested for breakfast were quite bad: no taste and juices are mixed with water too much.

The hotel is new and the rooms are quite big. Spa is included and breakfast was quite good. Location is perfect, 10 minutes from the waterfront.
