the main issue is unpacking your car and having to take suitcases out and walking to property. also parking garage is very expensive per night.

loved how we were in the heart of the Cais da Ribeira and close to walking distance to everything.

The description wasn’t clear - I thought I was getting a room with a view of the river, but it turned out lateral view of the river meant you had to lean out of the window. It is also impossible to get close to the property in a car (e.g. taxi) so it is NOT for anyone with a lot of luggage. The back bedroom was dingy and dark. A bit disappointing to be honest, especially given the high cost.

If you need to storage your luggage, you should be prepared to drag it to the office or to the locker at the station, which is at least 2 km away from apartments. No other options, We brought 30 kg luggage to the office by taxi (7 eur), then walked back to the city (2 km), after 2 hours walked back to the office again to pick up luggage, You can take a taxi as well, which would cost you 27 eur totally. When you pay per 1 night 250 -400 eur, this "luggage issue" is very unpleasant surprise. I'm not talking about wasting of time. This problem could be sold very easy - just putting some locker box downstairs at the apartments. Better to stay at any nice 4-5 stars hotel in central Porto location.

We seemed to have been charged more for our apartment than was promised on our confirmation email, even beyond calculating in converting to cad funds and bank charges.It was surprising and upsetting, especially since we booked through booking.com and should have been protected from that. Also, were asked to give passport/city tax info too late as we were leaving by plane from Canada (or could not enter the apartment) at a time when we had no reliable wifi to send information in order to gain access to the apartment via keypad.

Loved the location overlooking the Douro River. Loved the huge windows and the view. It was very clean and comfortable to stay in, with proximity to restaurants and historical sites. Porto is a beautiful place to visit. Liked staying in a historical building by the waterfront.

The sofa is in poor condition. It's dingy and not comfortable, it should be replaced. My husband sat on it, but I sat in a dining room chair. We stayed 2 nights and were supplied with 2 servings of coffee. It would have been appreciated to each have a cup both mornings.

Great location and view! Host was able to accommodate early check in so we did not have to tote our luggage around which was much appreciated. Clear check in instructions were provided. The apartment was overall clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable which was important. We loved opening the windows and doors and taking in the fresh air and view. It is quite loud though, so it was nice to be able to close everything up when we went to bed and use the AC to stay comfortable. When all closed it was very dark and quiet, perfect for sleeping.

didnt get a view of the river as told. all the windows were to alleys. had called to confirm before I booked, and was told all the rooms are the same and pictures sent were the same, as well. room itself was rather big and nice.

the code to door and access of key was emailed prior to arrival, however, I wasn't told the room number. Had to email them and ask once I was in the building. They responded to email rather quickly though, probably waited 10 mins or so before I found out my room number.

Communication with the company that runs the apartment left us with mixed feelings. On one hand they were responding to our messages pretty quickly but on the other hand no one would pick up the phone (there is an automated welcome message) whenever we called. This led to very lengthy discussions in texts that rarely solved issues. There were no toiletries provided. After another lengthy communication they promised to look into this but they never provided any in the end. Parking in the area can be a nightmare. The nearby open air municipal parking is the best option as it has 40 spaces for 72 hours for 20 EUR (with in and out privileges) but these sell out fast.

The river facing apartment is very beautiful and the location right on the river is perfect. In fact the apartment is featured in the most iconic touristic pictures of Douro river! The large windows all around provide ample light and great views. The apartment is very nicely equipped. Overall this is a magic place!

The toiletries included (in the description) was just one very small bottle of basic soap, just about enough for a few days handwashing for one person but not for anything else which seemed a bit mean for the price. Disappointed to see a Nespresso machine, these generate so much waste I refuse to use them. It would be useful to have a rack to dry clothes - but the iron and board were appreciated, as was the umbrella. I thought that it was a bit expensive for the facilities though ... but do acknowledge that you're paying for that view.

The location was every bit as stunning as I'd expected. Corner apartment, so double aspect and multiple windows (all of which opened) meant it was airy. There could be no better view than from here! This apartment is big, and it's just beyond the main riverside action so is quiet too. I really appreciated that I was able to access it early, and the person from the agency I happened to meet in person on arrival was lovely. I also liked having a physical key, which is somehow reassuring ...

Although the Ribeira area by the river is a great location to stay, the hills up to the rest of the city are quite steep but if you don't like hills, don't stay near the river.

Had a fantastic stay in Porto last week. The apartment has a fabulous view from the lounge and bedroom of the Douro river and there are a multitude of restaurants and bars very close by. The tram that takes you to the beach at Foz do Douro is 100mtrs away outside the nearby Mcdonalds. It is a 15 minute walk (uphill) to the main Sao Bento station where most of the excursions go from.

TV reception was unreliable. Sofa in lounge is a sofa bed and so not the most comfortable. Nothing else. Would happily return in the future.

Excellent communications throughout. Transfer from airport arranged for €30. Met at the property and all questions answered. Very friendly, helpful staff. Directly on the river, so a great location. Well equipped kitchen. AirCon/Heating is new and so very effective. Shower/toilet reasonably spacious. Two sets of keys was very useful. Lift to 3rd floor saved our legs at the end of the day. Reliable, fast wifi.

The apartment was in an amazing location right on the river. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Fabiana was an amazing host an went out of her way to look after us during our stay which ended up being a bit longer than planned due to our flight being cancelled. We stayed in one of the front river apartments on our last night. The views were stunning and well worth the extra money. Thanks again to Fabiana!

Nowhere to hang wet towels after shower for one person, much less two. A flat with a kitchen setup, but no dishwashing soap, not trashcan in any room, sofa pillows with hard decorative beads all over one side, all show staff needs to think thru and get all the "living / staying there" details right as well as the big things noted above as likes.

Excellent location, upper level flat with a partial river view. Close to cafes, historical sites, and water ferry as well as bus lines.. Optional (extra cost) breakfast delivered to one door in morning was super convenient.

The sofa bed in the living room needs updating, it's uncomfortable as a sofa although we didn't use it as a bed. The rug is a bit threadbare too. But neither of these things matter much on a short holiday in Porto where we were out most of the time

The views over the river were exceptional as was the location. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the hosts offered to store our luggage for us on checkout day, really helpful. Excellent value too
