They have limit parking spots and if you are not lucky you don't get space. Also the rooms have transparent landing door to the bathrooms giving cero privacy to the people in the room while someone is in the toilet. Also the room doesn't have any extra in the bathroom like cream or extras that other 4 star hotels have

Super nice staff at the reception. We booked at 22:30 after our flight was cancelled and arrived 30 minutes later. Duarte arranged two rooms for us although we booked one. Comfortable bed and linen. Nice balcony with sea view.

My partner and I are vegan and felt there wasn't a huge amount for us at breakfast, after a long day hiking we also just wanted to stay in the hotel one evening for food but there was no vegan option on room service and the restaurant buffet was limited so we ended up getting a food delivery to the hotel instead. Some extra toiletries in the room would've been a nice touch given it is a four star hotel.

Generous sized room with nice decor, very clean and comfortable. Pool area is lovely with beautiful views of the sea and very peaceful, we made use of the Galo Mar spa during our stay which was also a great bonus A few restaurants and shops around the area. Lots of choice at breakfast buffet if you aren't vegan like ourselves but overall we loved our stay.

The hotel was absolutely perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the spa with the sauna was excellent and we loved that we could use the spa of sentido galomar (the hotel beside uss) as well. The breakfast was soooo delicious and there was a hughe buffet with fresh smoothies, fruits and everything you need. You also had vegan options as soja jogurt. To the parking situation: we always had a parking slot. And it didn't bother us to pay 40 cent/hour for the parking. That is so cheap and you have the slots right in front of your hotel room.

Everything is new, clean, the location is close to airport and Funchal. They also have a few free parkings. We spent our honeymoon there. Awesome activities (gym, pool, sauna, poncha classes). The view is breathtaking, sunrise from the room. Dont think, just book.

Parking can be a nightmare, but we got lucky each time to find something nearby. Also, we had ants in the bathroom that would not seem to go away, but they stuck to their corner of the bathroom so we were fine sharing.

There was a huge breakfast selection and it was delicious every day! The bed was comfortable, the views were beautiful, and the staff were helpful and welcoming. We recommend eating at the Atlantis Restaurant at Galomar because the fish is fresh every day and so good.

The buffet could have been more diverse. Espacially dinner was not really good. We only ate there once but there are some restaurants around the hotel.

The sport offer was huge! From Zumba to Spinning, everyone will find something. Also the staff was super friendly and helpful. Just next to the hotel is an agency where you can book biking and hiking tours, which is very practical because the tours just start next to the hotel.

The parking was kind of a pain. Good thing we usually left early in the morning. Most of the time we only got street parking which was free 7pm-8am. We ate breakfast early and was out by 8 am otherwise you have to pay for parking. There were a few spots that were free but almost impossible to get. Many of the rooms looked like they had good views. We didn't book in those rooms and got a really bad garden view that didn't look like anything much.

The hotel was beautiful. The pool and the sun lounging area had beautiful views of the ocean. Breakfast was really good. Nice workout facilities. I found the location good. Just away enough to be out of crazy Funchal business and close to a lot of the attractions. There were a few good restaurants a few minute walk from the hotel.

I wish there was a water fountain for drinking water in the hotel. The room would also benefit from slippers, robe and some basic toiletries. The food that we pre-ordered for lunch as a group was below expectations - the bowls were very expensive, barely had any ingredients and didn't taste good.

Beautiful hotel in Canico village, attentive staff, very rich and delicious buffet breakfast, the sister hotel Galomar has great outdoor 'natural' pool area for swimming. My room was huge and very comfortable. The yoga room is fantastic and the sunrise and sunset views from the hotel are very nice.

- the Parking situation is really not good to be honest. There are blue zones around the hotel, but you need go pay. It‘s not about paying, but you can‘t find any. Sometimes we had to park a bit far away. I would expect such a large hotel to provide some kind of parking. On Madeira, the most visitors are getting a car to get around the island. Be careful in the blue zones! Already after half an hour, you could receive a ticket if you don‘t pay!

- the breakfast was really, really good. I didn‘t expect it to be so good. Yes it is a buffet, but really everything you would want in a good quality, and also clean. Really to enjoy. - breakfast was possible on the terasse, which was beautiful. - nice location, very near to the sea. Also, Canico is a good place to be, if you don‘t need or want Funchal. To Funchal it‘s 10-15 min. by car. - convenient pool and also access to the sea unteneath the hotel - clean - the room was probably a bit bigger than average - very nice staff, everybody is kind - all in all, a good decision and I would recommend to everybody, if you don‘t want to stay in Funchal
