The kitchen needed a little more equipment (an actually sharp knife, a smaller saucepan, and maybe a pan to use in the oven to heat things up).

The view is marvellous and the apartment was spacious and comfortable.

It was all great

Beautiful location with amazing view of the river. Quiet, near restaurants. The communication was great and we were able to leave our luggage when we arrived, so we could go get lunch before check in.

There are literally no amenitiesin the apartment - no hand soap, not a dash of salt, not a bag of tea, nothing. There was indeed toilet paper, fortunately. For the price you pay they might make a tiny investment and get some basics (i'm sure a 4€ bottle of olive oil can last a few visits). It's quite annoying to arrive in the middle of the night and realise you need to go shopping first thing in the morning so you can wash your hands. Staff was not helpful, I asked a simple question only to get a "no clue" answer (which upon doing some research myself realised anyone living there for a while would have known immediately - so they just couldn't be bothered to help). This would never happen in a hotel with a reception. The bedroom windows are facing a plaza where tons of people gather in the evening to watch the sunset, which makes it impossible to sleep with the window open due to loud noise until 2-3am.

The apartment is wonderful, fantastic location, the view is hard to beat, and the proximity to old centre as well as ease to getting out of the city are perfect. There is a washing machine and a dish washer which are very useful if you stay there for longer. The bedrooms are spatious and beds very comfortable.

Email instructions were clear regarding property access. Amazing view over the Douro. The apartment was clean and comfortable with good facilities.

This is a really small negative but unfortunately you can hear downstairs neighbours if they move furniture or drop something. This was only an issue at 3am one night.

Walked into the apartment amazed by the views! Exactly as pictured. It was clean, the beds comfortable and the location excellent. Washing machine and coffee machine available. Aircon worked really well too.

Nothing. It is set in a hilly area but it is possible to walk from the centre of town to the apartment without too many inclines.

Fabulous property situated at a well known viewing point. Great sunsets! Fab restaurants nearby. The property was spacious, well designed and excellent value for money.

Great communication, easy to follow instructions, getting keys was easy. Amazing view from lounge area, lovely apartment, clean and comfortable. Great location, easy walking to small shops, local bars and restaurants. Good position for sight seeing on foot.

Not for young children or people who want to avoid noise, you have a party scene just below the flat.

The pictures of the flat don't do justice to it. The flat has increible views, but is also much larger than what is perceived on the website. It has 2 bathrooms which is quite unusual and has enough space to spend time in the flat if you need to. However, the location is so great that you will be visiting and partying.

It is in an area which is noisy in the evenings- ok if you want to be out joining in!! However, the shutters and aircon had to be shut/on if you didn’t want to hear it. This should be flagged up for people. There was nothing in the kitchen in terms of welcome pack or basics- just some coffee pods and washing tablets. Basic oil, salt and pepper?? Some water in the fridge?? Tea towel? Cleaning stuff for sinks/ toilets? Paper towels? Soap for both toilets, not just one? We got brought a tea towel and more towels when we asked. Beds not changed till day 9. Also no cleaning of loos or sinks till then. As other people mentioned, windows bit grubby ( difficult to clean!). There was no advice/ info left. No map even.

Brilliant location, the hosts were fantastic, I would recommend using the taxi service as the driver works with the company who manage the property so can give you a tour of the property on arrival. Like having your own receptionist and taxi driver. Would highly recommend.

There are a few things in the apartment that need repairing (e.g. water damage along the windows).

The view from this apartment is spectacular. It's in a nice neighbourhood with plenty of restaurant options nearby, and a convenient little grocery down the street. It is on top of a hill, hence the amazing view, but you need to prepare yourself, especially if walking up from the river.

Outstanding! beautiful view. Great kitchen and very spatious and clean we had everything we need. I went with my dad and it was great on the top of a hill (be aware of that as if you're elderly or not mobile it could be challenging. Amazing spot next to an overlook with little cafes. Loved it!!

We had not read properly the description that there were two flights of stairs with no lift. Porto has also a lot of slopes and steps. It was ok but for visitors who may have reduced or limited mobility, Porto is not a good choice.

The key to the apartment was confusing and the door got stuck and was difficult to open. The lower hall were there were many steps did not have have working ceiling light. The washer/dryer did not work on all of the settings.

We loved the view, the location, the apartment itself. At the end of the day we could watch the lights go on in the city by the river. The beds were comfortable.
