Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalFor us, the place was a little bit too rustic , we fully see the charm as the family have used and maintained authentic materials. Lighting could have been better but this is a very picky grumble in what was a lovely warm welcoming stay.
Miguel is the best. Great communication before staying and during the stay. The pool area is lovely to relax around and the hotel are very ( rightly) proud of using local products. Breakfast is amazing and Miguel's father makes the best jams. Figs and fruit from their own land are so tasty. This is a very authentic experience..

United KingdomIt is very difficult to think of anything to dislike about Casa da Tita... The only suggestion I could make is that there could be one hard pillow and one soft one instead of two soft ones. It is personal preference, definitely not a critism.
The location was great. It is away from the crowds. Approximately 40 mins drive from Faro airport. It is very peaceful and relaxing. Miguel was the perfect host. He makes your stay comfortable and relaxing. Nothing is too muchnyrouble. If you need assistance with where to visit etc he offers the best advice, and gives you a map and leaflets of surrounding areas to visit. We visited a waterfall, local churches , nearby towns, market and a beautiful unspoilt beach. Casa da Tita has many facilities. There is a communal kitchen, various places to sit outside, the pool, a common room where a tasty breakfast is served and it is all surrounded by flowering shrubs, fruit trees and herbs. There are pictures and memorabilia of past family members in the hallway. It feels cultured. The bed is comfortable, the shower is hot and powerful. There are workshops available to book. I attended a cooking one which was very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend staying here, and wish to return in the future.

New ZealandOnly down side was the pool was unavailable! Not Miguels fault, there was a chemical imbalance on the days we were there, but we were sad about missing out on that since the weather was so beautiful!
Miguel is a very lovely host, the property is steeped in family history, and Miguel was also very knowledgeable about the local area and gave great advice about what to see and do. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious.

PolandThe stay at Casa da Tita was amazing. My wife and I spent a wonderful week at the end of August. Delicious, amazing breakfasts, fresh produce every day. Owner of the property Miguel very helpful and contactable. With all issues we could turn to him and his commitment to taking care of guests deserves admiration and respect. Great atmosphere of the property, very comfortable bed and that pool! If any of our friends go to the Algarve, we would definitely recommend Casa da Tita. We ourselves will also definitely re-book if we ever return to the south of Portugal. 10/10!

BulgariaWe loved everything about Casa da Tita and Miguel, the host. He was very nice, friendly, always trying to help. He gave us amazing tips what to see and where to go. We loved the facilities, the pool, the kitchen is very comfortable too and you can cook or eat there at the evenings. We loved the breakfast too and the homemade jams. Most of all, we loved the silence! There was no noise and you can enjoy the nature sounds. Priceless! Highly recommend to stay there!
