Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SloveniaWe found 2 dead cockroaches in the apartment while we stayed, one was under the lamp by the bed and 1 was in a drawer where the forks and knifes are. Definitely leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Also the beds were kind of hard.
I really liked the vibe, The lively streets in the evening and the step out on the streets. The shower was spectacular!

GermanyAbsolutely loved our stay! The hotel is in a fantastic location, with a spotless room and an extremely comfortable bed. What more could one ask for on vacation? Additionally, the area is surrounded by amazing restaurants. Rita is an exceptional host, very talkative, friendly, and quick to respond to any questions. Be sure to visit the restaurants she recommends; thanks to her, we enjoyed some amazing seafood. We fell in love with Almada. It's just a 10-minute ferry ride to Lisbon. Make sure to watch the sunset by the seaside in Almada one evening. It's stunning! If we ever return to Lisbon, we will definitely stay here again. Thank you Rita. We love you :)

CanadaUnderrated location. In a street full of authentic restaurants and very lively throughout the week. 8 minutes ferry ride to downtown Lisbon which is within walking distance and runs from early morning to past 1 AM. Although you can only catch the ferry every 30 minutes or so. There is a local coffeeshop which opens early and has amazing coffees, orange juice and fresh pastries. Cacilhas has Amazing staff. When Rita learned we are arriving past 5 pm, she sent a message through Booking.com and then called me and made sure I know how to enter the property and can access support without issues. She used to be a tour guide and she knows best places to visit and gave us a lot of good advice which made our stay enjoyable.

United KingdomNot a complaint but a small suggestion to include a bottle of oil in the kitchen.
Definitely exceeded our expectations. Set in a small road near the harbour, the apartment is spoilt for choice with excellent and affordable restaurants with convenient public transportation links to other parts of the peninsula. We were highly impressed by how clean and spacious the apartment was, containing everything you need in the way of utilities, pots, pans, tea, coffee, hairdryer , kettle, sofa, etc. The windows had shutters which kept the rooms nice and dark and almost completely stopped all external noise. To open the apartment you're given a virtual key in which we had no problems. Staff were exceptional and greeted us with wonderful smiles and an excellent attitude. It was easy to find, while being a couple of minutes walk from the ferry terminal which for €1.50 can get you to the Lisboa in 8 minutes. I would highly recommend these apartments especially if you want to be away from the main city. I really hope we're able to stay again soon.

AustraliaVery attentive host. Thank you Rita (I hope I'm spelling that right) for all your help. The room was large and comfortable. The location worked out really well too - one 8 min ferry ride to Lisboa (the ferry comes every 15-30 min and the last service is at around 1:20 am).

PortugalThis was a great location on a fairly quiet pedestrian street with lots of restaurants. And, it was only a quick 15-20 minute ferry ride (frequent service) to downtown Lisbon with ongoing access to rail and metro stations, Time Out market etc. The staff at the guesthouse were super friendly, helpful, and can arrange parking very nearby, for a reasonable fee. Accommodations were very clean and spacious.

IndiaTo reach Lisbon city centre, ferry ride costs 1.5 Euro one way
Beautiful apartment near the ferry station bang in the middle of the "strip" with just 2 mins walk from the ferry station. There are so many good restaurants in and around it. Though you need a ferry ride each time to go to Lisbon but it feels like you are part of the city centre . Also this ferry station has direct proximity to Belam and Sintra.

CanadaThe stairs to get to the first floor were a challenge for me as I have mobility issues, but no problem for my husband.
We enjoyed so many things- the staff were exceptional, always making sure we were comfortable and had what we needed: the apartment was sparkling clean: the bed was very comfortable and the linens were great: the location was excellent - surrounded by interesting cafes and restaurants, very close to the ferry to Lisbon, trollies and buses, and they have cab drivers on speed dial too. We were there for 4 nights in April and enjoyed it very much. We highly recommend Cacilhas Guest Apartments and want to express gratitude especially to Rita and Thelma.

United KingdomThe location to the ferry across to Lisbon and Tram around Almada is super close making it very convenient for getting around to see everything. The restaurants nearby are lovely and we actually preferred eating local rather than in Lisbon where it was too touristy and service wasn't as good. The apart was clean and well maintained with a beautiful terrace to just sit and relax. We plan to visit here again in the future and have already recommended this place to others.

United KingdomNo smart tv, or fire stick to watch Netflix. The apartment only got cleaned once in the 7 days and by the last day the house was pretty dusty. could’ve done with some extra towels and toilet papers but because the reception closes at 3 it was hard to ask for it. - nothing that spoiled our stay that much tho.
Amazing location, and great staff!
