Everything!! Small 5 room hotel. The hosts are amazing and cook fresh breakfasts every morning using local fresh ingredients. Great location only 7 minutes drive from the center. Very private and quiet. And no children to spoil your afternoon pool time. Free parking. Very communicative hosts. We were provided a welcome snack and glass of sparkling wine upon our arrival. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Lagos area. Thank you Renato and Rosana for a wonderful visit.

It was simply excellent! We loved everything from the location, to the pool&terrace and the well decorated bedroom but what really made the difference was the attention from Renato and Rosana, who made our stay incredible and made us felt at home. They serve every morning a delicious breakfast and they even adapt it if there’s anything you don’t like. They also recommend you places to visit and really look after your comfort. Can’t recommend it anymore!

This place is AMAZING ! It is a 10 because I really wouldn't know what could be better... The owners make you feel at home and cook the most delicious and generous breakfast. The property is super nice, room very comfortable and spacious. Beautiful pool, yoga deck, workout area, ... what else would you need ! We didn't want to leave and we will be back !

Where to begin? There was so much to love about staying at the Sun Hill - clean and comfortable rooms, a lovely property, convenient to Lagos and other locales - but what really sets it apart is the warm, welcoming hospitality of Renato and Rosanna. They are lovely people who are clearly committed to ensuring their guests needs are individually catered to and fully met. And then to top it off, guests are greeted each morning with a homemade breakfast prepared fresh and with love each morning by the hosts. We were lucky to be there during a week their daughter Irene was visiting, who put things over the top with fresh baked goods. When we return to the Algarve, we'll certainly return here.

Rosanna and Renato were so welcoming during our stay. We received a lot of information on how the B&B is working, what to do in the area etc. Each morning they cook a freshly made Italian inspired breakfast for you. To be completely honest, I prefer a more continental breakfast from time to time but when I asked for something additional, Renato was very helpful and made sure each morning I had my bread, cheese and marmelade! The rooms are very neat and clean! We had a lovely stay!

Nothing I can think of. It was an altogether awesome experience.

Co-owner Renato added a personal touch to breakfast. It’s as if one were at home, with a chef who’s a member of the family. The fruits and vegetables were fresh, and Renato prepared everything with such palpable delight. He and his wife/co-owner, Rosanna, are quite warm. They went out of their way to help us plan tours. They also love to know each guest. Excellent experience!

Renato and Rosanna created such a happy place on the sun hill! It was the best B&B we‘ve experienced so fare. The breakfast was delicious and Renato served a variety of homemade cakes and bread every morning. The room and the bathroom were super clean and spacious. We had such a lovely time and would definitely recommend it! We‘re looking forward to another stay at the happy place the sun hill!

That I had to leave

The Sun Hill is a beautiful place perfect for a relaxing holiday. It is located just outside of the city Center, avoiding the main bustle. Safe and friendly, providing stunning sunsets every night. I received personal greetings and tips on how to spend my time while visiting Lagos and surroundings areas. Room are clean, beds comfortable. Grounds well manicured, beautiful garden added to the tranquility of the place. Pool is heated and a good size, with ample lounging room. Even has a yoga area. He is flexible on check in or check out, as long as he could accommodate. Breakfast was presented every morning with a new item on the menu, which Rennato would create himself each morning. His passion for cooking. From fresh baked focaccia, to fresh baked bread. Entire breakfast all fresh and delicious. Rennato and Rosanna are great hosts, they made me feel like I was part of their family. Any request was meet with enthusiasm. Very helpful since the beginning. You can feel the joy they have when they can added something to your stay. Real valve for your money, a Gem. I will definitely return. Thanks again Rennato and Rosanna for a memorable stay.

I loved my stay at The Sun Hill. Renato and Rosanna made me feel that I was part of their family, welcoming me into their home. I had a spectacular room, beautifully decorated and very clean. The view was lovely, from my balcony. Breakfast was served by Renato who clearly has a passion for food. Every morning I was amazed by a variety of fruits, cooked dishes, cake and homemade jams. I don't want to give too much away, the food was delicious. The villa has a lovely pool and surrounding gardens. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Literally the best place I have EVER stayed at, and I've travelled a lot. I travelled alone as a young woman and Ronaldo and Rossana treated me like family. I got lost one night while coming home from the beach and didn't make it back till 10 pm. When they found out I didn't get to have dinner, they made me ravioli and sat with me as I had dinner. On my last day, I had to leave at 5 am to catch a flight and they got up before 5 to make me breakfast (cake, coffee, toast) and packed me lunch to go... I don't think my own parents could have treated me better hahaha. The place itself is beautiful too. Their house is located on a hill surrounded by lots of nature. The dining room is like a little glass house. Every person/group gets a table and Ronaldo puts your name on it. Every morning he sets up breakfasts on each tables and it's always 4+ things, delicious and well-plated. They bake their own bread and uses herbs from their own garden. It's the little things. Ronaldo puts two big travel tumblers in the fridge for each person and always keep them filled up with mineral water so you can take them with you to the beach/hikes/... The rooms have everything you need. Good wifi. Air conditioning. The outdoor pool is heated, although I didnt use it because it was really windy my entire trip there. I also only found out on my last day that they have a big wooden outdoor platform in the back too and yoga mats so you can do yoga overlooking lots of nature.
