From the moment you enter the property, you feel like you are visiting friends. The hosts Maarten and Elke make you feel so comfortable and are very helpful with suggestions and arrangements. They have thought of every detail to make your stay top-notch. The pool area is spacious and beautiful and so was our room which included a large private patio area. The breakfast was amazing and delicious, made better by Susanna and Katina’s warmth. This is a special place to which you will want to return.

The only criticism would be to add conditioner but that is so minimal a complaint. Speaks to how lovely the property is.

Lovely location in the hill above Carvoeiro with a quick drive to the beach. Well designed giving a peaceful atmosphere. Hosts always helpful and friendly. Very clean.

This beautiful B &B is so well maintained by its awesome owners, Elke and Maarten. The rooms are so spacious and bathrooms are great. The pool area is excellent and quiet to relax. Breakfast was superb!! Carvoeiro is about a 6 minute drive from this place (a car rental is quite essential). The hosts ensure that each guests’ needs are met and you truly get such a personalized service from them, unlike bigger hotels. I would totally recommend this incredible place if you are staying in the Algarve! Great restaurants and sightseeing within 10 minute drive.

This place was an oasis. The owners were lovely and very helpful giving great recommendations with a really cool map that pinpoints major attractions etc. its a 6 minute drive from seven hanging valley hikes. The room had its own patio and kitchen and was very clean, beautiful, and safe! It had ample parking as well. The breakfast was amazing and the views were phenomenal. Highly recommend.

The family room is very functional, and spotless. Hosts were generous and kind. Breakfast amazing, bespoke offering every day. Wonderful facilities. Games on offer for the rainy days.

Perched on a hill with beautiful views. Gorgeous pool & lounging area with honor bar. Fantastic breakfast. We had a spacious room with 2 private outdoor areas. 5-10 minute drive to grocery stores, restaurants, beaches. Great location! Friendly staff! Highly recommend!

The property was in the perfect location right minutes’ drive from lovely and quaint Carvoeiro town and the beaches. It was truly a tranquil paradise perched up high on a hill with beautiful views of the countryside. The Scandinavian chic minimalist decor with clean lines added to the calm ambience. The swimming pool and outdoor decking with sun beds meant there was plenty of room to relax alone and with other guests. The superb breakfast with array of mouthwatering delicacies were five star luxury. And our hosts were the best in the business - so warm, welcoming and attentive. This is a five star experience in every sense of the word.

This B&B was located outside of the tourist centres on the countryside, and with only six rooms it is perfect to relax. The pool and the outside area were stunning. Beverages were available for fair prices, which allowed us to socialise a bit with other guests while playing darts or petanque. The breakfast was also very good and it included everything we could ask for. We got a room with fantastic views and a patio with a table and chairs. The room was well equipped with a kitchen and the bed was super comfortable. Last but not least, the hosts Elke, Marteen and the staff Susana were very attentive and helpful. We are very thankful and happy with them.

The place is absolutely beautiful and extremely peaceful. The pictures are exactly how it looks. The pool is fabulous as is the honesty bar area where we could stock up on fizzy drinks, a glass of wine and a beer. Our room was perfect - with a fab private terrace area overlooking an amazing uninterrupted view. Breakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from. The hosts were indeed very helpful, offering advice on places to eat, booking restaurants and suggesting great beaches for day trips. Nothing we would change about this place. We will be back.

The perfect holiday destination combines two opposite objectives. You want to feel "at home" but at the same time "far away" from your daily routines and tasks. In "Quinta do Ourives" Maarten and Elke have achieved this in the perfect way. A warm welcome, a family like atmosphere with a barbecue organized for all guests and every morning a lovely breakfast that is more a Sunday breakfast at home than the typical hotel style. Whatever we wanted to do, relaxing at the pool or excursions Maarten and Elke provide any kind of support we needed to make it a perfect stay.

We had the best 5 nights at Quinta do Ourives, this is the perfect place to relax and recharge! Maarten & Elka were wonderful hosts, extremely friendly and always happy to give us great recommendations about the local area and things to do. The room was beautiful and clean, we loved having the private patio as well. Breakfast was delicious every morning, everything was super fresh and there was a really varied selection for all tastes. It's all very thoughtfully done, the design of this place is incredible and you have to see it for yourself!

everything was Perfect

Our stay for 5 days could not have been better. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, the pool area really spacious with Lots of sunbeds to choose from. We loved the honesty bar with different drinks. The room was well equipped and the patio with outdoor kitchen was a Highlight we used quite often. The wlan was fast and had a stable connection. Elke & Maarten are the perfect hosts and they do everything that you will comfy right away. We travel a lot, but honestly we could not find anything to improve.

For us- everything was perfect.

Elke and Maarten were great hosts. Very friendly and they had fantastic recommendations for us, where to eat and what to do. We are glad that we met both, it was always great to talk to them. The accommodation is awesome. Very quiet, cozy, clean and comfortable. The pool is great. :) Loved it to swim there in the morning. The breakfast is also very good. The distance to the beaches, restaurants etc. is very short. You will need a car, but it is just a short ride. Everything is very close. We really enjoyed our stay, and we definitely are coming back. :)

We loved, loved, loved this place. It's so peaceful and beautiful, but friendly and relaxed too. It turned out to be way more than a place to sleep at night: lounging by the pool, cooking in the private outdoor kitchen and chilling in the roo was the most relaxing time of our entire trip. The hosts are kind, helpful and friendly.

This was the best place we have stayed in on our 2.5 weeks trip through Portugal. The room was very clean, comfortable and the furniture was very nice. The outdoor kitchen attached to the room was very practical and equipped with all basic stuff you need for cooking. I liked the location a lot because we were away from the busy town Carvoeiro and it was very peaceful. Still, good restaurants are located in a convenient distance away. The water in the pool was pleasantly warm so that we were able to swim even in the evening when it got cold outside. They offered a wide selection on the breakfast buffet. The breakfast was very good. The whole property is designed in a very nice way and I was able to discover a new cute or "smart" detail of the facilities every single day. Last but not least, the hosts Elke and Co. were very nice, welcoming and attentive. I have learned from them something new about life in Portugal every morning.
