Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyJust the breakfast room being small - this was no problem for me as I was on my own. But if you are more than two people together, you may not be able to sit together depending on what time you want breakfast, etc... I think this point is something they should try to improve (but maybe it is difficult in this building, etc)
I stayed here one night. I found the hotel very easily - it is a 5-10min walk from main station. Check-in was fine but he did ask me what time I would go to breakfast and explained the breakfast room is a bit small (so they want to plan it a bit I reckon). The wifi worked fine, the single room was a bit small but OK. Breakfast was a very extensive spread, lots of choice (as is often the case in Poland) and the lady serving there asked me if I wanted scrambled eggs - this was very good. But the breakfast room is a bit small so you might be seated to share a table with other guests. The location is good and not far from the main Rynek area (10mins walk)

United StatesConveniently located. Staff was very helpful. Room was uncomfortably warm. Bathroom was a bit creepy so we only used it for necessity. Happy our stay was just one night. Could use some major upgrades.

IrelandA very basic room. Ok for 1 night. The room facing pleasant square with a lot of high trees still can be noisy from a busy street.
Location is great. 106 airport bus stop nearby. Train station app 10 min on foot. A lot of pleasant places to have morning coffee. Close to market square. Clean bed linen and comfy bed. Nice receptionists.

United KingdomThe property was very outdated and simple, the bathroom was not in the best condition - more like from 70’-80’.
The location of the property was fantastic. Also the architecture was nice, the building was old fashion and with extremely high ceilings.

Czech RepublicPretty old building, quite spartan rooms. Missed my already paid breakfast on both days as it is served only until 9.30am which is almost unheard of on this planet...
Location is good, just a short walk to the center. Price was also decent for a summer weekend.

IsraelThe bath is not large and I had difficulties fitting in. The shower was not really operating well, but I believe I just got bad luck.
I enjoyed the old style of the hotel, the parquet floor, the tiny balcony. There is a tea kettle (and a cup) and a small fridge in the room. Breakfast was good and they make you eggs at your request. I got explained every detail I asked. Enjoyed my stay.

United StatesPlain, clean room that has seen better days. Heater isn't quite enough to heat the room so you have to use extra comforters and layers to keep warm in the winter.

IrelandWhen I arrived the hotel had no lights on the facade. It felt like I booked a ghosted hotel. There is no lift. The mattress wasn't comfortable, felt heavily used. The room was clean but the decor wasn't, aka the curtain was stained, the walls had dots, the towel holder was broken. There was a random kettle in the room, no glasses no nothing.
The staff was very prepared, professional and available at all hours. I arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning.

Very good location - you can take a walk to the old town and the railway station, many shops nearby. Wonderful breakfast and the lady who serves it. One more plus is that you can leave your luggage for free after check out. And the check out time is very convenient too.

IrelandIt was not a glamorous place by any stretch of imagination (shop on the ground floor? Back of the hotel did not see paint in decades) but it was clean, safe, quiet, a good value for money and welcoming which is what matters. It'd have been good to know you can call reception for the lift via intercom instead of lugging a heavy suitcase to the 1st floor, maybe that info should be given at booking? I did not mind that much anyway.
It was like a nostalgic visit to your auntie or uncle who refused to redecorate since the 80ties and kept lots of features from the communistic era in their tiny apartment... I found it adorable being Polish and living abroad for a very long time. Staff were very good and helpful, especially the Ukrainian lady at the reception. Room clean, if basic, beds new and very comfortable. It was quiet, hot water, we even had a balcony. Location handy for the railway station, 10-15 minutes walk from old town, right beside a nice shopping centre.

SerbiaGeneraly hotel needs some renovation, and somehow they have to solve the problem with the lift since the hotel is on the upper floors and down are some shops, so if you want to use the lift you have to climb with your heavy suitcase very high, sharp angle stairs (two rows of them) in order to reach the reception floor and the lift to go to the room.
Great location. Great breakfast. Great stuff of the hotel, especially the lady serving the breakfast, and receptionists are also very good all and helpfull.
