Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaRoom Temperature control not functional - 30C+.
Very nice hotel, staff and restaurant. Rooms are on the small size, but functional and very clean with white bedding. Big problem is the lack of temperature control in the room - room thermostat constantly set at 30 C requiring us to open the balcony doors to cool the room down regularly. Staff could not do anything about the temperature setting and it appears all the rooms are set that way from other reviews we have read. Breakfast was very good but was better on the weekend when they had a fully buffet because more clients in the hotel. Dinner menu is limited but good and tasty. Plenty of free parking and located a short distance from Bardo town center. We will stay again.

United KingdomNot all the SPA facilities were working, some of the jets in the pool were not working and the Himalayan Ice Chamber was out of order. Pity.
It's a really nice, modern hotel situated on a hill, with a beautiful garden and a spa with swimming pool and sauna. Free parking. Room no. 106 was spacious, quiet and comfortable, without a balcony. The à la carte diner was plentiful and delicious, the breakfast buffet had a large selection and very tasty pancakes and delicious coffee :) The swimming pool is nice and warm, sauna was hot and clean. We recommend this hotel.

United StatesThin walls and an event (private party in a conference room held in the basement) on Friday night (it ended at 4 am) made impossible to sleep. There is no AC so the rooms feel stuffy and hot.

United KingdomAlthough the staff were good, they seemed to work at their own speed But rushed most of the time ...
What is not to like as everything good for us. Clean indoor and outdoor pools Sauna's and jacuzzi in the indoor pool, sunlounges at both yo relax. Although we were a couple, there were other outdoor activities such as you could play crazy golf and things for the family. Well kept gardens and surrounds Credit to the greenkeepers Outside seating to relax Breakfast continental and would say average - no English tea !! Our room was nice and spacious And cleaned daily - plus change of towels .... only thing, no fridge or safe Plus, tv had Polish channels only !! Staff Excellent from reception table to waiting staff Although we were English, most of the staff understood a little, and we got by We also noticed it was pet friendly.

DenmarkDefinitely staff. (1) We came an hour before chech-in time and lady in reception didn't even check if room was ready, she just said to come back at 3 pm, didn't offer to stay in restaurant in this time. We didn't feel welcomed. (2) At the dinner we got a delicious snack during waiting for main course, but waitress couldn't answer what it was. (3) We were woken up at 8.30 on Sunday by cleaning ladies chatting very loud right in front of our door.
Hotel and facilities are wonderful! Best spa I have ever been in - very warm air and water in spa area, brand new pool and jaccuzi, well heated saunas. I loved water without chloride. Also bed was exceptionally comfortable, there were no strange smells in the room or bathroom (this happens often in hotels). Food for dinner and breakfast was delicious. Hotel is located in quiet area and there are many nice facilities outside both for adults and children.

PolandThe TVs could be a bit newer with Smart TV functionality. The queen size beds are in fact two separate mattresses. There is an extra payment for the swimming pool towels and robes. The hotel restaurant could be open a bit longer - currently the kitchen closes at 9:30 pm.
The one bedroom apartment is quite spacious and comfortable. The swimming pool is great as the water is nicely warm. Additionally, the mini golf track and both the outdoor and indoor playgrounds make the Hotel Bardo a great place for a stay with kids.

Polandthis time the hotel looked like it was fully occupied so it was pretty noisy and crowdy - noise isolation in my room was really poor and some of my neighbours shouted doors with a lot of power even after 10 pm On the first day, we decided to have lunch on the terrasse because it was sunny weather and warm but it was a terrible decision cause of the service - nobody bring me a menu even after I asked about it - and it took more than an hour just to order a meal and another 30 mins or so we were waiting for it is ready - but the food itself was good looking and testy price on May holidays was quite high sauna (hammam) - is quite a dangerous place, my daughter (4y) has burned her leg - cause hitting element was not anyhow protected, bordered

Netherlandsit was mentioned in previous reviews, so I knew about it beforehand - but although the swimming pool and sauna is for free, you actually pay for the towel & bathrobe to be used in the facilities. So unless you are travelling with those in your suitcase, it is not really for free. Normally these things should be included in the price.
Great, friendly staff both at reception as restaurant where tasty food is being served. Spacious parking. Facilities for children and sauna & swimming pool free for guests to use. Plenty to see in the area, incl the Palace of Princess Marianne.

PolandI spent three nights there with four small children, and I was able to recover from my everyday fatigue. Believe me, it is not easy to find the right place to recover if you have four children, and you often may end up with wasted money and frustration. Here I succeeded. I would also like to highlight the attitude of their personnel, which was extraordinary. They not even once have shown any irritation in response to the overall noise the children generated, but were rather very actively positive about our stay.

PolandThis is just a quibble On principle I think that hotel guests should not pay extra for “little” things such as mini golf access or bathrobes. It feels like a rip off. If you can’t help it just include it in the price.
Location is very convenient especially for people who come there for mountain biking. the hotel stuff is friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant is tasty yet slightly overpriced.

PolandNothing of any significance. No food shop near the hotel where I could buy water. I did not come by car, but walking up from the town tested my walking, which I regard as a positive overall.
This was my second stay in October. Pretty much as per my last stay - good bright lighting, clean bathroom, a fresh water bottle each day (except one of the days this time), an easy chair, and the room made up every day. Excellent breakfast.
