Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe have recently stayed at Uros Lodge, and it exceeded all our expectations! Nestled on the stunning floating islands of Lake Titicaca, this unique lodge offers a truly immersive experience in nature and local culture. From the moment we arrived, Walter & his family greeted us with warm hospitality offering us dinner. The room is specious, comfortable and cozy, with breathtaking views of the lake that make for unforgettable sunrises and sunsets. I especially loved the traditional décor that beautifully reflects the local heritage. The food was great —each meal was delicious and prepared by the family with fresh, local ingredients. One of the standout experiences was the opportunity to engage with the local Uros community. Walter and his sweet dog Hiska took us on a boat tour that provides insight into their way of life, and we learned a lot about their traditions and crafts. If you’re looking for a unique getaway that combines comfort, adventure, and cultural immersion, Uros Lodge is the perfect choice. We can’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to return!

United KingdomNothing, just bear in mind it’s chilly at night but Walter provides a gas heater and lots of cost blankets .
We decided to book this wonderful floating island because of the fabulous reviews. The reviews were spot on. A stunning tranquil setting to unwind and enjoy uninterrupted views of the lake. The interior of the home was beautiful with wonderful embroidered linens, cushions and a huge comfy bed. We also enjoyed the outside bed to birdwatch and see the sun go down . Our meals were cooked by Walters mum who served us lovely home cooked, fresh food ( catering for vegetarians.) Walter made us feel so welcome. He took us out on his traditional reed boat and showed us how he built his island . He is clearly a very skilled man but very modest with it. If you love nature, isolation in a wonderful location then do not hesitate to book Walters home .

United StatesEverything was beyond my expectations! Book it, you won’t regret it!
First off, what a magical experience this stay was from the people to the views to the room! Walter and his family really made this stay so special, they are the kindest people ever! From the moment we arrived they treated us with such care and love, Walter’s dad picked us up and dropped us off at the port, Walter took us on a private tour of the Uros Island in the traditional boats, his mom cooked the most wholesome dinner and breakfast for us, his mom also showed us her handmade artesiana, which were all so beautiful and we were able to purchase some to take a piece of them home and support this wonderful family. They made sure we were comfortable at all times, the room was spacious, had a heater for the nighttime, since it gets cold, plenty of blankets, hot showers, spectacular views, what else can you ask for?! They talked to us about their rich culture, which was impressive and it was a gift that they allowed us to take a peak into their everyday life as foreigners were not allowed back then in the Uros. I can not recommend this stay enough!! My husband and I left with our hearts full and a memory we will cherish for a lifetime! THANK YOU Walter, Maria, Sabino and Elena! Mucho amor y bendiciones!

United KingdomWater pressure not great for the shower but that’s understandable given where we were.
Amazing experience with Walter and his family. We got a private space where we were spoiled with beautiful views, delicious meals and simply being well taken care of by Walter. Highly recommend as a place to relax and appreciate the space. Walter was also very prompt in providing answers to any questions I had ahead of the stay, which is really appreciated.

United KingdomCaught a bit rain towards later afternoon and missed to see the sunset and sunrise. A little headache during stay but it’s nothing compared with the unique experience I had
Walter’s floating heaven is located in a tranquil corner of the Uros community. The Island is exclusive and receives only one family/couple to stay. You got a spacious living room with one queen and one double beds, one dinning room with fabulous view over the lake and one pavilion with a bed which is my favourite. The place is relatively new and decorations transformed people to another world. One night is probably a good length of stay and meals/a boat tour by traditional boat is included. Walter is a little shy but very nice host and he proved all the best memory I can get at Titicaca lake.

Great location on the Uros floating Islands. You are taking a personal tour of the Uros Islands culture. Your host is Walter, his mother, and sister.

IrelandWe travelled in August and was very cold at night, with limited heating in room. However, Walter provided sufficient bedding and hot water bottles
This is one of the most unique places we have ever stayed in - the hotel has just one room and is located on a man made reed island floating on Lake Titicaca. Walter was very helpful - we had a few changes in our itinerary, due to transport problems, and he was very helpful in allowing us to change our booking dates. The room was spacious with amazing lake views though the floor to ceiling windows. The meals were also very good. Please note you need to pay in cash and there are no ATM near the property (obviously!), so bring sufficient cash with you

SwedenThis was by far one of the best (if not the best) places we have been to. Everything was perfect - location, accommodation, food, service and most of all the hosts! Such a lovely family who made our stay exceptional, giving us a boat tour of the area, telling us the history of the islands and how its all made. We really regret not staying longer as it was such a great experience. We can highly recommend staying here with this wonderful host family, thank you so much for everything!

The lodge is beautiful. Very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Plenty of spaces to relax both inside and outside and excellent view of the sunset. Walter and his family made us feel at home straight away. They were so welcoming and friendly and taught us lots about the floating islands. The food was also delicious. Hot water bottles at night, a trip on the reed boat and seeing Walter’s museum made our stay even more special. We would highly recommend the lodge. a fantastic place to relax and unwind.

We absolutely loved our stay at Walter’s lodge on Lake Titicaca. The room and outdoor seating area are beautiful and super comfortable. Also, Walter and his family are so lovely!! His mum Maria cooks the most delicious food (we’re vegetarian and that wasn’t a problem at all) and we were so well looked after from beginning to end. Highly recommend!!

GermanyThe stay exceeded beyond expectations! First, Walter and his family were incredible hosts. He was kind, thoughtful, and responsive. Their family was so welcoming. Walter gave plenty of time to rest but also coordinated meals and activities. His father picked us up in a boat, then he took us on a traditional boat ride, telling us about the islands. Second, the lodge is beyond amazing. It was incredibly private (they only have one in their space) and the bed is extremely large, warm, and comfy! The views are incredible and after passing by the other lodges, I can say Walter's lodge had one of the best views. Sunset on the terrace was really special. Third, the food was lovely. They serve you in a cozy dining room that overlooks the water. Last, just remember to bring cash to pay for your stay! Bring a little extra if you're interested in going on a tour of the other islands (not done by Walter but a partner which was not as good as Walter's guidance)

United KingdomNothing we did not like. The lake can get quite cold in the evening so it makes sense to wear warm clothes. That said, Walter provided us with numerous blankets, heaters and hot water bottles, so we weren’t cold in the evening. Thanks again Walter for making us feel so comfortable.
Walter picked us up and even gave us a personal tour of the lake. He was very friendly and informative about the history of the lake and any questions we had. He served as a tour guide as well as an incredible host! The accommodation was extremely clean. We also received delicious meals for both lunch and dinner and felt very much at home. This was a very unique experience and we would definitely recommend this to others. Thank you to Walter and his family for making our stay on the lake so memorable!
